I have no interest in women, but I flirt a lot.... it's kind of like bungee jumping - you don't actually WANT to hit the ground and die, but the thrill of coming close is fun.... So I'd never do anything gay, I just get a thrill out of flirting - I won't go to hell just for that will I??

people keep saying this and i don't understand a crap. can you believe without a brain? if there is a spiritual connection how can you explain majority of the muslims living in africa and asia while christians living in europe and america and buddhists in china and japan and that sort of countries? it is clearly you believe what you have been taught. you are afraid of this story of hell. yes, maybe you really love the idea of god, maybe it gives you peace but what if the god you believe is not the god really existing ? what you will say when he ask "for what reason you believe this certain relegion?" (even if this god is yours and just want to know why?) being an atheist i'm asking this question to myself and i can't answer back. there would be a god but who is he i have no idea. is he good, bad or careless i have no idea. do you think this "belief" word is gonna save you before the real god ? at least i will say i was uncertain and i don't like to pretend.

What I mean is that people of Ancient Greek really believed that there is a man who is called Zeus.

In Greek Myths, there are lots of people who had sex with Gods and gave birth to the children of Gods.

For them Gods were very real and very physical.
They were not symbolic or allegoric.

Do ancient Hindu, Norse, Roman, Egyptian, African, Celt, Native American ... people have the same approach?

Thank you.

Over the year I've heard people say things about satanism and it not being true, like they kill babys and animals for blood sacrifices and stuff I know lots of satanists and they don't do that I've done the research and learned the rules and if you add it all up it's just a selfish religion telling you, you can live life to the fullest, in the end you start to realilze that if god wanted you not to be gay or whatever then he wouldn't have given you a free-will he would have make you. If anyone as a diffrent opintion feel free to tell me.

Because most people (in the West anyways) are only in one body at one time, how can you be sure, that when someone dies in front of you, that they are really dead? If you are only viewing their death from your perspective, how can you be totally sure that they experienced the death from their perspective, if you are not the "dead" person?

R&S has taught me to not be afraid to try to demonstrate what I've learned, or to admit to being wrong. Honestly, now I'm not afraid to say what I am, or why I am.

How about you?

Just wondering... Don't get all defensive and start pulling out your bible quotes. Just answer the question honestly. If you were to die, and find out that all of your ideals and beliefs are NOT true, how would you respond? Don't defend your religion, I'm not attacking it. Think about it. Only one religion out of all of them can be truly correct. What if it's not yours?

If you believe in God, then you believe the universe was created by God out of nothing.

If you are an atheist, then according to science, you must believe the universe and everything in it has always existed..ALWAYS. like forever into eternity. Remember matter never disappears it just changes states.

why is either one any more believable than the other?
