Yes, I have. I always thank them for the points, because they have just rewarded me for pissing them off. :-)
But what is even funnier is when the person gives someone else the best answer, but instead of commenting on their answer....uses the space to try and insult me. It makes me lmao. Why not just send me a message instead? Seriously if I was the poor sucker that got the best answer I'd be thinking WTF?

Yes several times my answers have been chosen by the asker as best answer so I got points with1 star .But several times my answers have been chosen as best answer by voting so I got points with 5 stars too..In my experience there are so may answerers who answered the questions not serriously.They did not explain why their answers yes or no.There are many answerers who did not answer the questions but gave another questions.

Yep. It happened to me recently. Left me wondering why my answer was chosen, since the asker apparently thought so little of it.

Yes, it's happened to me, notably when I've KNOWN my answer sucks, I've also done it to other people... For that matter I'm hoping it'll happen again right now damnit!

on at least three occasions now...they seem to have done it just so they can get attention insulting me.
otherwise they could have done it through email, mine's not hidden

yes I think so too. it makes sense to me that it allows you to reply specifically to this person. maybe the system deserves to be revisited...
