I didn't cry. But I was stunned. Not that I wasn't expecting it, of course, but the reality of it was sobering. There were some people crying at church. They came to the church to pray when they heard the news.

I didn't cry.
I recall it was a Saturday. I was walking down the hall at the hospital entering the surgical ward and it was announced over the intercom. It was expected. I was a bit surprised at my 'non-reaction'. Very well could be that I was busy prepping for surgery.
However, I did cry when they announced Cardinal Joseph Ratzinger as Pope. This time it was not from joy, it was confusion, and a bit of anger. I am very happy to say that he as Pope is better than I could have possibly anticipated, many blessings for that.
Pray for the Pope.

No I did not cry, and I'm not a RC. But I do have a lot of respect for the man. He is(he's with Jesus now) a very good and committed Christian.

I didnt even know there was a pope named "John paul II"
I am not nor have i ever been Catholic, so i'm not really in the loop about Popes.

I didn't cry, although I was very sad that this world lost such a great man. But now I realize that we haven't really lost him. He can come to our aid more so now than he could here on earth.

Yes. Of course, I am a kind and caring person. Why wouldn't I? He was a good and holy man. I saw him in Rome once. Are you suggesting that there is something wrong with that?
