Both asteroids and humans are physical entities which resulted from the Universe's actions. A human being makes a "decision" to become a theoretical physicist...Most people would say the decision is an intelligence choice and a result of an independent mind.

An asteroid impacts the earth and kills all dinosaurs. Most people would say the act was a chance act, without intelligence. So that the asteroid did not "choose" to kill the dinosaurs.

What makes human objects special and different from the asteroid?

Why is that every christians says that the koran is false just because it stated that Jesus(pbuh) did not die on the cross?
Koran still did not deny the existence of Jesus like the bible deny Muhammad(pbuh).
Despite stating that Jesus(pbuh) did not die on the cross, the rest of his life story is the same isn't it.

I guess the christians are blinded by the reluctance to accept another messenger.

Since whenever someone asks a question about the questionable deeds of people calling themselves Christians present and past they are never 'real' Christians.

Is there a way to detect them before they start slaughtering people, or do we have to wait until they cross a line?

Why would a a religion of love attract such people in the first place?

And do you really think these people were secretly thinking to themselves "Ha ha stupid christians I fooled you all"?

So basically you believe that we are all a consequence. No different than a splash of water from a marble rolling down a hill. We are a splash seemingly alive, seemingly moving about in seemingly rational directions, but in truth wholly devoid of intelligence... You further (presumably) believe that the world is determinate - since we are a consequence of the Universe - given enough information about any act we should be able to predict the outcome... As such, we can theoretically predict what will haven to John or Rebecca at 8:45AM on Thursday if we know enough about them and their surroundings... And it seems you believe that all human thought is predetermined by nature as well - so that there is no true independent decision making - thus we are not actually in control of our lives but are merely victims, consequences, of nature's predetermined course.. Thus the idea that we can make decisions and control our destiny is, a fable.. Much like the bible. No?

2 Peter 3:9 (New Life Version)
New Life Version (NLV)
Copyright © 1969 by Christian Literature International

9 The Lord is not slow about keeping His promise as some people think. He is waiting for you. The Lord does not want any person to be punished forever. He wants all people to be sorry for their sins and turn from them.

God saves sinners out of His mercy alone according to the Scriptures (see especially the ninth chapter of Romans). According to the doctrine of election, God has chosen "before the foundation of the world" those who would would be saved.

So if he doesn't want anyone to go to hell, then why doesn't he save them?

(For the record, I am a Christian who beleives strongly in the sovereignty of God, but this passage poses a REAL problem to my theology.)

I welcome your thoughts on this.

In comparison to Judaism or the hebrew slaves, that apparently were the followers of Jehovah, the witness religion seems nothing more than a convenient modern day derivative. Why not stick to the Jewish bible that was literally translated from the Dead Sea Scrolls.
Please do not answer with scripture quotes..

Just saw Sanjay on CNN (or is it MSNBC?) talking about this. Science is looking into it.

I believe we are high-wired for faith because this was God's plan along for man. We were created to worship the King

I have the strangest feeling that I am being guided through life from messages from god given to me through my radio. They arent simple messages like do this or do that. They are quite cryptic, so only the intended reciepient (me) can understand them.

From which jobs to apply for, to which people to trust and not trust, almost every facet of my life, if I concentrate on the radio enough, god will deliver my answer.

I have been using these techniques for some time, and I think it is really working, I have never been so happy in my life.

Do you think its god answering me?

Or perhaps something else, something supernatural or spiritual?

I'm 14 and both my parents are Christian and I'm Atheist. Is it wrong to celebrate Easter and Christmas. (As in not religiously celebrating it, but accepting chocolate and presents.)

Why do they always yell "THE INQUISTION! THE CRUSADES! CHRISTIANS ARE EVIL"? Why don't they yell "AMERICAN AND FRENCH AND RUSSIAN REVOLUTIONS AND NAPOLEON AND NAPOLEON III AND WWI AND WWII AND STALIN AND KOREA AND VIETNAM AND IRAQ? SECULARISTS ARE EVIL!"?

This is a serious question I'm not trying to debunk you or anything I actually enjoy your input on here. However here is my question:

"Why do you always ask questions about the Christian God and require the Christians to answer without using the Bible or any churchy reference?"
