Lol i seen that this morning too...
I don't think it is true though...
This is what the bible says about it:
2 Peter 2:1
But there were false prophets also among the people, even as there shall be false teachers among you, who privily shall bring in damnable heresies, even denying the Lord that bought them, and bring upon themselves swift destruction.
I took psychology and sociology and I think the human brain always ask why and its hard to believe without seeing or without proof.
Thats why its hard for people to never believe in God or heaven or hell or any religion because they all turn to science (which has been proven wrong countless times unlike Gods Word)
Thats why if you think about it most people who has thought up of things such as Darwins theory of evolution (atheist), Scientist who study the "big bang theory" (athesist) and even in the CNN article it said
"Some atheists saw these brain scans as proof that the emotions attached to religion and God are nothing more than manifestations of brain circuitry."
Atheist don't want to believe in the bible so therefor they have to find there own reasoning for things
Hope thats a little insight for you
God Bless

No, we aren't hard-wired for faith.
Humans are hard-wired for belief, and there is a huge difference (namely YOUR religious motivations). There is no possible way that we can independently justify everything we learn. Therefore, every day we employ a large amount of belief as we move throughout the world. Most of what we "know" are actually just beliefs.
That does not translate into faith and religion, and the fact that you are trying to stretch it to that shows that there is a huge problem between reason and religion in the 21st century.

No generally they aren't wired for faith but rather must be brain-washed into it. It helps if they are easily beguiled individuals. This is determined through advertising garbage and seeing who bites on send away for this junk where we collect names, addresses and other personal information then we have them vote in an election for some idiot.

No, I wouldn't say so. We evolved a sense of cooperation and that extends to forming societies like those we have today, where people can influence others into joining their particular cooperative group.
Faith is entirely acquired.

I believe they are. I believe everyone has a "God-shaped" hole in their heart. If they're not filling it with Him, they are trying to stuff everything else into it to keep it from aching. Of course, nothing else fits.
I often doubted my faith until I took an ethics class where I had to study theories based on no absolute truth. In all my years (and I was the salutatorian of my graduating class, 4.0, yada, yada, yada) I COULD NOT grasp it. It was IMPOSSIBLE for me to consider a world where there is no God and no absolute truth. My mind just ran off screaming...lol.

Yes. I was connected with God as I was kid. My parents did not talk to me about God. I wish I had seen the program.
