Is The Church Of God 7th Day a cult? I'm NOT talking about
7th Day Adventist. When I was 15 I was baptized into the Church Of God 7th Day. I've never thought that there was anything wrong with that. But then I realized today at 22 years old that maybe the Saturday church going opened up a door to the Devil. Don't get me wrong, I think alot of people in that church were saved. However, it lead me to believe early on in my Christian walk that most Christians were wrong about things that weren't really important. Years later after that door was cracked open, I became real cult material for churches that thought that they were the only ones who were right. I started studying Jehovah's Witness and Mormonism. Is it passable that if I was raised in a Sunday church I wouldn't have grown up feeling suspicious over the majority of Churches?
I'm addicted to churches that teach about the great apostasy all day long. Now I'm thinking maybe it's because I was already baptized in one before.

I'm just wondering if anyone has some good scientifically backed stories from the Bible, or the Qur'an or any other religious text.

Based on actual science, not pseudo science.

For example, the deadly plagues of Egypt can be explained by the erruption of the Santorini volcano.

Does anyone else have any other examples like these?

What would be talked about?

Would you pay tithes? If so, who would get them?

Would you have a sacrament if it included wine?

How would a person join?

If meetings were held on Sundays, would there be a "break room" at the locale with a big screen TV for people to watch football?

Would it be a 'missionary church'? How would converts be won over? (I like the football and wine idea, but are there others?)

Jesus was a real person and if he was do you think what he taught was wise or not?
Please remember i am not Christian but do believe that there was a man Jesus and the bible could be seen as a history book. Just like Greek or Pagan mythology.

The Trinity is clearly shown in scripture. Proof text, here goes:

Matt. 28:18, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
1 Cor. 12:4-6, Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.
2 Cor. 13:14, The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
Eph. 4:4-7, There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. 7But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

If you don't know but your church has a web site, it's probably there. For all of you that were planning on saying I don't have a church or go to church, how about your personal mission statement?

My church's mission statement is: Our mission... to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue intimacy with God, Community with Insiders and Influence with outsiders.

What's your (or your church's) mission statement?

Let's hear it, fundies. You insist that all atheists are going to hell, yet I don't hear atheists claim anything bad is going to happen to you other than having nowhere to go when you die. Is that the "christian" way?

Your Outlook on Islam is well known from your answers. Support your faith but do so with open eyes and not closed.

Read what these people have to say about Christianity and Islam.

"There is not one redeeming feature in our superstition of Christianity. It has made one half the world fools, and the other half hypocrites."
— Thomas Jefferson

Mahatma Gandhi wrote in Young India – 1920:
‘I became more than ever convinced that it was not the Sword that won a place in Islam in those days in the scheme of life. It was the rigid simplicity, the utter self-effacement of the Prophet, the scrupulous regard for his pledges, his intense devotion to his friends and followers, his intrepidity, his fearlessness, his absolute trust in God and his own mission. These and not the sword carried everything before them and surmounted every trouble.’

These were not said by ordinary people. The world know them and they are not muslims. Who are you ?
