If you don't know but your church has a web site, it's probably there. For all of you that were planning on saying I don't have a church or go to church, how about your personal mission statement?

My church's mission statement is: Our mission... to lead people into a growing relationship with Jesus Christ by creating environments where people are encouraged and equipped to pursue intimacy with God, Community with Insiders and Influence with outsiders.

What's your (or your church's) mission statement?

That all may know Christ. They changed it recently its a bit longer. We have a denomination mission statement to. The churches mission statements come from the denomination statement. You know what I mean I think. It will apply to a part of the denomination statement. I hate all that lets just get the word out to non believers and not sweat the small stuff. Peace out......

Our church website has this vision statement that I thought was kinda cool.
---------------------------

Our Vision

We seek to follow the great commission by using whatever means the LORD allows, to go "unto all nations" preaching the truth.

We know that our GOD will supply our needs but gives us the common sense to be good stewards of what we are given.

We desire to help those that are hurting, sick and afflicted in mind, body and soul. "For those that are whole need not a physician but those that are sick."

We desire to challenge those that are mediocre and those that are tired of the mediocre, to inspire those that hunger and thirst after righteousness, to encourage those that are burdened and despondent, to reaffirm those that are forsaking all to follow Christ, and to be all things to all men that by any means we may lead many to this wonderful light that is our Saviour, the One, the Only, the Beginning, the end, the first and the last, the almighty Father Jesus Christ.

Our statement:

The Resurrection of Jesus Christ is an essential truth of the Christian Faith, We, the Catholic Community of the Church of the Resurrection are called to bring the Risen Christ to the wider community. To do this we intend to enliven our own faith, through our celebrations together especially the Mass; an ongoing education of adults children and families; the responsible use of our gifts and our following of the example of Christ in our relationships with all people. By the enthusiastic living of our faith in the Risen Christ Jesus, We hope to glorify God and call others to Christ.

Matthew 28:19,20

Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost.

Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you alway, even unto the end of the world. amen.

The Great Commission is the strategy by which the church at Jerusalem saturated its community with the gospel. Train disciples for 3 stages - evangelism, baptism and education. We have too many trained in the ability of sitting in the church pew every Sunday and doing nothing the rest of the week.

I am attending a Jesuit run church, so I guess the mission statement is the same as St. Ignatius' which is AMDG (Ad Majorem Dei Gloriam) for the ever greater glory of God.

"Evangeliam and Restoration"
"The Perfect Church for People Who Aren't"

Evangelism and Restoration - As a multi cultural family of believers, Without Walls International Church strongly believes that God has the power to restore individuals to their fullest potential.

We believe that Matthew 28:19, "Go ye therefore, and "teach" all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost," is the great commission, not the great suggestion.

God has called us to go beyond the four walls of the church and share His Gospel with those who may never come to church, those who are broke, busted and disgusted within their lives, those who don't know where to turn - Without Walls International Church - The Perfect Church For People Who Aren't.
