According to the Bible's Book of Genesis, God made Adam out of earth. Afterwards, he took a rib from Adam and made Eve.

There are those who say that god didn't have anything to do with the creation of any lifeform on earth. Others say that god sort of started the ball rolling, and that Nature took it from there. There isn't just 'one animal' that god created humans from (accepting the theory of evolution). Basically you believe that god created humans seperately from all other species (which is a trick considering that chimpanzees, among other animals have been found to have almost all the same chromozones as humans) or that mankind evolved slowly from many different types of animals, including, at one point, fish...

I would strongly recommend Prof. Dawkin's The Ancestor's Tale for an excellent overview of the evolution of mankind back through all the common ancestors, including where all the differing major species branched off.

I'm going to assume you've read or at least own a Bible. God formed us from dust. Not from animals. We're better than animals in the sense that we have language. And I don't know what your asking about fish..

Well, every atom in our bodies except for hydrogen was originally part of a dying red giant star. So we're technically all made out of stars.
However, god had nothing to do with it.

Well, thanks for informing us of your identity, even though it's right next to your question.
If you want an atheist's opinion (you'll get them here whether you like it or not), "god" didn't form us out of anything. Our species (homo sapien) evolved from an ancestor related to apes and chimpanzees (primates).
Read up a bit on http://www.talkorigins.org/ for more information.
