The Trinity is clearly shown in scripture. Proof text, here goes:

Matt. 28:18, Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit,
1 Cor. 12:4-6, Now there are varieties of gifts, but the same Spirit. 5And there are varieties of ministries, and the same Lord. 6And there are varieties of effects, but the same God who works all things in all persons.
2 Cor. 13:14, The grace of the Lord Jesus Christ, and the love of God, and the fellowship of the Holy Spirit, be with you all.
Eph. 4:4-7, There is one body and one Spirit, just as also you were called in one hope of your calling; 5one Lord, one faith, one baptism, 6one God and Father of all who is over all and through all and in all. 7But to each one of us grace was given according to the measure of Christ’s gift.

1 Pet. 1:2, "according to the foreknowledge of God the Father, by the sanctifying work of the Spirit, that you may obey Jesus Christ and be sprinkled with His blood: May grace and peace be yours in fullest measure."
Jude 20-21, "But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith; praying in the Holy Spirit; 21keep yourselves in the love of God, waiting anxiously for the mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ to eternal life."

tim2honorgod - Not accepting Gods nature as the Trinity clearly falls into the category of a false doctrine and scripture also says. "Woe to those who call evil good, and good evil; who substitute darkness for light and light for darkness" Isaiah 5:20

I state it at least once a week. The word Christian is nothing more than a title. Because I change my oil doesnt make me a mechanic. And I can change my sump pump make me a plumber. The word means nothing in society today. It is over used and carries no weight. Its all about a relationship with the Lord. Thats where its at. Peace out............

What about the scriptures that are against the trinity, such as where Christ is praying in the Garden or where he is on the cross? Was he praying to himself or perhaps God has multiple personalities? With Matt 28:18: why didn't they just say God, instead of naming them all. 1Cor 12:4-6: is the only one that I have seen that comes even close to talking about the trinity to me. 2 Cor 13:14 The same, why name them all. Eph 4:4-7: It doesn't say to me that they are all one. Maybe it is just me, but the whole concept is confusing to me.

Because they have divorced specific theological claims from their identification of what they perceive Christianity is all about. They might not accept what you have outlined as normative in order to have an identity as a Christian. The burden would then be on you to demonstrate not just that those biblical references are about God as Trinity, but that such references, and the Trinity itself, would be normative and essential to one's identity as a follower of Jesus.

AS you can see by the Second Answer to your Question, THAT THERE ARE MOKERS OF GOD, that will Bite on your Question!

May I suggest......

(Matthew 7:6) Give not that which is holy unto the dogs, neither cast ye your pearls before swine, lest they trample them under their feet, and turn again and rend you.

PERHAPS a better Question is.....

"WHY = = DON'T PEOPLE OBEY = = THE COMMAND OF GOD IN = = Acts 17:30-31?

Thanks, RR

"Anyone who doesn't follow my exact interpretation of scripture is not a True Christian™."

Yet another example of why Christianity is so absurd... each of the hundreds of sects assert this statement.

So, you think that you have the right to tell people they aren't Christians because they don't believe in exactly the same thing as you? That's pretty sad and awefully pathetic. Anyone can call themselves anything they want to, and you have no control over that. Thanks for reaffirming my own beliefs. I am an atheist and proud of it, and people like you make it easy to not believe.
