With many Muslim countries taking a lead in becoming united, should other religions also group together to form religions based nations? Or fight aginst the formation of Islamic World? Note that already 20% of world population is Islamic and is growing (for the fact that muslims can have many wives & unlimited children)?

Some people invented a fairytale, and claimed it to be true. They called it God. Every question that still has to be answered, is answered by them with "Goddidit". Their answer is holding back MY society from finding real answers to real questions.

Thousands of years ago Thor made thunder. Real people found out what really caused thunder, and Thor was unemployed. Yet, your answer to many other questions still is: Goddidit. That answer is an attack on scientic progress. Progress that MY society needs. Progress that my future children need.

In 7 US states it is still in the law that atheists can't hold a position in public office. You drenched MY society in a bucket filled with your God.

And yet, you ask why I question the fact that your imaginary God slows down the progress that can be made in MY society. How arrogant is a person that even has the nerve to ask why I am here?

to help them understand the difference between fiction and non-fiction.

If there are talking animals, it is fiction.

If there are dead people who are doing anything other than decomposing, it is fiction.

If there are magical or supernatural events, it is fiction.

If there are imaginary places that no one has seen or that no one can give you the precise location of, it is fiction.

If books or movies contain any of the above elements, they are not to be taken seriously.

If someone presents them to you as factual, they are liars or they themselves have been deceived by liars.

Books may contain speculation, conjecture and even hypotheses without being fiction. If the book contains any of the elements previously mentioned, they are not conjecture, but fiction.

What do you think of my simple rules for simple fools?

Can you drop what you have been taught and actualize what you are? Or maybe all you are is what you have been taught and believe. Christians get up and spread their beliefs everywhere, Atheism sits and mocks. Why not share your beliefs with your fellow man? Seek out those who do not know and inform them? I'm sure you have a reason, but it is not a good one. You have a moral obligation to do whats right and telling people the truth is right! So get out there an DO IT!!!

dont get me wrong. im a catholic..i go to church every sunday and pray every night before i go to sleep. and i dont doubt god. but my friend last night asked me why does god let so many bad things happen to us..even good people and its been bugging me and i just really want to find a way to give him an explanation for this. i really want to prove him wrong..and make him believe more in god.

He calls us to be his witnesses. When the religious people wanted to accuse Jesus, they questioned the man he healed. The man didn't try to defend Jesus, he just said, "I was blind and now I see." They couldn't argue over that and we shouldn't either.

Why? Not even the Muslims (not saying all Muslims do this) who blow themselves and kill other ppl are talked about and insulted as much as Christians and Christianity have been and are. have you noticed? We've been martyred down through the centuries, and it seems in every single age the Jews have been up against some country or ppl who have tried to kill them or enslave them.
Even now you have Evolutionist and Ashiest who, it seems, take it upon themselves to discredit it and bash it down to the ground. The morals of the bible and of this Religion have been labeled as being High and Mighty and ppl try their best to find fault in the bible. In some places in China and Africa and all around the world you are jailed and even killed for being a christian.
Why do you believe in your heart of hearts that this is so?

For myself , I believe there is a"God". Having said that, I dont believe in any organized religions, I dont like anything that puts a man on his knees. It is my belief that having a relationship with"God" is a personal and one on one experiance. I follow what my moral code tells me about right and wrong. I also follow my "gut feeling" about decisions to be made. I dont ask the "God" I believe in to "work miracles in my life". I only ask "He"/"She" look over me and help me to do my best. I dont ask others to agree with my beliefs or practice them. Only that they respect my choice to do so. All right there it is. What possible sect or sects might I fall under. All answers welcome!

i mean if they had deleted the old testament (fairy tales about a god destroying whoever opposed him, and whales swallowing people and men boarding all the animals in the world and nonsense like that) and had just left the new one, it would have been easier to convert new adepts...

My dad said that he didn't like doing this because he felt like everyone was looking at him and thinking, "Hey, he's getting up to take a pee!"
