people I know should be locked up in a mental institution for what they say but hide behind the veil of religion. Take Dena Schlosser in the United States who, without a second thought sliced both her babys arms off because god told her to do it. At least one quarter of Christians I talk to should be in a psychiatric ward, not in Church every Sunday.

Is is part of known statistics that Americans spend the least time with their families. In a country that is founded on the Word of God and on Christian principles, it seems to be that we are just too busy to dedicate time to the aspects that really matter. Why is this happening? Why is it that the gaps between the generations have broadened? Who will bulid a bridge? The family is the center of the church and it is under heavy artillery, the enemy is not resting until he destroys families [ie: divorce, abortion, diseases, psychological conditions, you name it he's using it] Why?

I recently attended the funeral of a Baptist relative in Georgia (USA); and I noticed some practices that seemed very different from the burial traditions of Episcopalians (Anglican Communion) and the Roman Catholic Church.

Are these practices regional (Southern US), religious, or completely secular (invented by the funeral industry)?

1) The coffin did not remain closed after the visitation the night before the funeral. It was re-opened near the end of the service so that the mourners could take turns (row by row) to view the body. (The funeral took place in the funeral home's chapel.)

2) The coffin could not be lowered for burial until the mourners had left. It was left above ground with a bouquet on top. (No earth was cast on it.) The family was told that they could return in an hour and that everything would be "fixed" with the flowers from the funeral placed on the grave.

Anyone know who exactly were the Seven Deacons? I don't know an awful lot, but I'm curious as to what they thought they could acheive in their society when they were appointed as the 'assembly' of that time.

Catholics call Mary the "Mother of God". I have to disagree with this. Jesus Christ was 100% God and 100% man (mystery in itself). She was the mother of man Jesus, his humanity. She was not the mother of his divinity, his divine nature. God the Father, by his Holy Spirit, put his seed supernaturally in her womb. So Christ has God as his Father. Mary was only the mother to his flesh not his divinity. God has no mother.

I mean its really your own choice we just do our job by extending an invitation wether you accept or decline thats fine noones forcing anyone. GOD doesnt force Himself on anyone if u say no its no if u say yes its yes, if we force you there wont be any meaning behind your acceptance if you just do it for experimentation their wont be any meaning behind it. Those that come to HIM must first want HIM. everyone wants proof show me this, show me that, show me your GOD exists. GOD has nothing to proof to us simple creation. Its like this.... a door is closed in front of you youll never know whats behind that door until you walk in. Not to check it out only but to embrace it.

do u have any prof from an non-Cristian source that Marry was a virgin hmmmmm nope just Cristin's who try to make Jesus seem more godlike but have you ever thought that Marry might have been a bit*h and to not be stoned to death(common practice in that time for women who got pregnant without marriage)for being pregnant she was married to Josef
doesn't this explanation seem more plausible then a supernatural being coming down on a women and getting her pregnant

We are no longer cavemen. We can now bas each other electronically. Even better yahoo found a way to make sure it is not harmless. It is called the "violation". And people can use it freely at will just because they don't like a certain viewpoint. How is this not harmless? Well, yahoo deletes accounts, entire accounts including your e-mails. One Muslim woman lost vitale-mails from her mother. A businessman lost money because people could not contact him and he also had lost their contact information. Certainly harmful. So now insteda of hitting each other with sticks we can ruin business and take letters from home away from nice people. Now that is progress.
