Jesus said, "The sabbath was made for man." Mark 2:27. It is not for the Jews only, but for mankind--all men and women everywhere. The Jewish nation did not even exist until 2,500 years after the Sabbath was made.

The Jewish year today is 5767.

Moses received the ten commandments long, long ago. One of the commandments is to keep the Sabbath holy.
The Muslim Sabbath is on Fridays,Jewish Sabbath is Friday night till Sat night and the Christian Sabbath is Sunday.
You could use a time line.

The Sabbath has been around since Adam and Eve were cast out of the Garden of Eden. I don't know what ever made you think that the Sabbath was for Jews only.

This is a confused argument!

The jewish nation existed pre-Moses, but was dissolved with the scattering of the tribes. The Nation of which you speak is the one which has sprung up within the land known as Israel.

The Jewish nation exists world-wide as the wider family scattered over the ages gone by.

The Sabbath was made for man - yes - Jew and Gentile alike!

Just to bring all this into perspective, Jesus Christ was a Jew, and not a Christian. One other thing He said: "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every nation."

You are confusing existance and application. The Sabbath was in existance long before the Jews were commanded about it in the desert, however it just existed as a day. They were then the ones who put in into practice with observing it, something no one else did about 1300 years until Jesus apparently thought everyone should start keeping it and trashed all the laws he observed.

For contrast, nuclear bombs would have always worked, but until recently no one ever built them. Internet pages always had information but it took time to develop a search engine for them. And so on and so forth.

No, It is not just for Jews. Jews and Christians have the same roots. The difference is that Jews don't believe that Christ was the Messiah. Jesus said we still need to keep the sabbath. So Christians and Jews both observe it.

Observing the Sabbath is a command given to Jews as a remembrance of the 7 days of Creation. Non-Jews are not required to observe this commandment.

Hebrews 3 and 4 -- There remains a sabbath rest for the people of God. But if you meant the commandment to keep the Sabbath Day holy, the commandment was given to Israel, but if you want to observe it as a holy day to then you have that freedom in Christ. Romans 14.

History is not your strong suit, is it?

All men everywhere are called to worship the creator.
The sabbath commandment is the only commandment that defines the creator.

Jesus said if you love him then keep the commandments'John 14v15 Jesus also laid claim to the Lord of the Sabbath. Mark 2v28

The sabbath commandment is the only commandment that defines the creator:

EX20V
8Remember the sabbath day, to keep it holy. 9Six days shalt thou labour, and do all thy work: 10But the seventh day is the sabbath of the LORD thy God: in it thou shalt not do any work, thou, nor thy son, nor thy daughter, thy manservant, nor thy maidservant, nor thy cattle, nor thy stranger that is within thy gates: 11For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is, and rested the seventh day: wherefore the LORD blessed the sabbath day, and hallowed it.

The Sabbath commandment defines three aspects of God.
And is known as God's seal.

Title - The Lord - God
Authority - Creator
Territory - the LORD made heaven and earth, the sea, and all that in them is,

Those who worship God will have this seal in their forehead and on their right hand in not doing their own gainful works on the sabbath day.

The call to worship the creator has gone out to all the earth:

REV 14V

6And I saw another angel fly in the midst of heaven, having the everlasting gospel to preach unto them that dwell on the earth, and to every nation, and kindred, and tongue, and people, 7Saying with a loud voice, Fear God, and give glory to him; for the hour of his judgment is come: and worship him that made heaven, and earth, and the sea, and the fountains of waters.

Genesis 2
1Thus the heavens and the earth were finished, and all the host of them. 2And on the seventh day God ended his work which he had made; and he rested on the seventh day from all his work which he had made. 3And God blessed the seventh day, and sanctified it: because that in it he had rested from all his work which God created and made.

Those who worship the Beast will oppose God in disobediance to his times and laws. See Dan 7v25

that's no longer effortless to be a Jew in u.s.. besides the shown fact that it is the conflict we ought to manage in this era. The conflict against assimilation. Baruch HaShem, that i've got been blessed with super employers. From the initiating it grow to be everyday that i would not artwork on the Sabbath. because of the fact the wintry climate season approached, a deal grow to be struck, that i would not take a lunch with the intention to get out an hour in the previous from artwork. Up in the previous, they have been extremely understand-how. that's no longer in effortless terms Sabbath, yet each and all of the feasts. whilst Passover, and Sukkot attitude, having to take 4 days off from artwork isn't effortless. [2 Holy days in the initiating, and a pair of on the top. no longer inclusive of Chol Hamoed in between]. activities to me appears like a minor difficulty. whilst i grow to be in severe college, I participated in the soccer group, and whilst on it, spoke to my coaches and enable them to understand i would not play on Saturdays. i think being up front approximately those sort of subjects is the terrific thank you to handle it. i understand that's slightly cliche, yet "It builds character". Kosher food is a huge difficulty fantastically pondering the shrinkage of non secular communities [in the previous 10 years, i might say]. The Fairfax district in the Hollywood area grow to be a bustling area whilst i grow to be like 12 or 13, now you stroll with the aid of, and there's a few scattered eating places and one or 2 Judaicas. So, that's exceptionally plenty basically one thing we ought to manage. it extremely relies upon on the point of observance of the Jew. There are Secular Jews who're Jewish with the aid of blood line yet do no longer possibly be conscious those rules. i'm seen Shomer Shabbat, which ability I carry on with each and all of the prohibitions of artwork on Shabbat. No using, no turning on/off lighting fixtures fixtures, etc... Edit: maximum of all regardless of the undeniable fact that, i might say that's a controversy of conviction. The Torah says Shabbat is Holy, and that concerns extra effective than any pastime happening that day.
