Did Jesus say that? Or did his followers claim he said that?

edit:
No, the author of John wrote Jesus said that, there's a difference.

Jesus never lied because of the fact he became a guy of god. returned it this became a case of undesirable interpretations.in addition to,some interpretations have been intentionally imposed to healthful preconceived concepts of plenty at that factor. The Jews did no longer accused Jesus as God consistent with se yet in authority,ie making himself what's God's.that is because of the fact the Jews did no longer have confidence that he became a prophet;that he replaced or challenged a number of the practice of the Jews, which, in basic terms God would have recommended. otherwise, it may be written 'it incredibly is Jesus the God of the Jews'. At different circumstances Jesus pronounced why called me good..; you're all gods...;it became no longer my will yet of the father...etc,etc consequently, the bible messages as some distance because of the fact the muslims are in contact, became very sparkling however the undesirable interpretation of its verses between Christians had extra approximately many irreconcilable concepts between Christians and incompatible with genuine nature of God the Muslim believes.

I cant trust the Bible entirely because its a fact that it has been changed.
So i have no idea if Jesus actually said that.
And by my faith, he wouldn't say anything like that.
Because Jesus was not God.
If your saying that i don't believe Jesus told a lie.
Then that means you believe Jesus told a lie.
And according to you ( i assume you're a christian, i don't know though) Jesus was God.
so how could God tell a lie?

Muslims believe that all prophets of God don't lie. Accusing prophets of lying is a big sin in Islam, the person who accuses prophets of lying is not a Muslim. Muslims also believe in the Holy Bible which was sent from God to Jesus through Gabriel. One of the basics of faith in Islam is to believe in the books of God (all of which without discrimination). They also believe that The Holy Bible which we have now was written by people who made changes in the Bible for different purposes. The Bible which Muslims believe in is the Bible that dates back to Jesus.

They believe it is corrupted - on Mohammed's authority. That man will have a terrible judgement.
Only much prayer, and the preaching of the gospel with miracles, signs and wonders can free our muslim brothers to experience eternal life.
From the christian point of view, Mohammed was clearly deceived by a fallen angel.

If they think God participated in a charade to make people think Jesus was crucified, when it really wasn't Jesus at all, but only someone who looked like Him, then it isn't such a big step to believe that Jesus might lie, is it?

I will try to explain the best way I can using my feeble mind.
When I read this sentence then I understand by meaning this:
In order to get to know God then you have to listen to Jesus (pbuh) and his preachings.
Now we all know that Jesus (pbuh) was a prophet of God so it makes perfect sense to say that. God sent Jesus (pbuh) to teach people about him and of course they had to "come" to Jesus (pbuh) to get to God.

However, the word of God was not complete and he had to send another messenger. We all know who this. Muhammad (pbuh). The rest is history.

There's no need for them to explain something that wasn't written by him. That was written after the time of Jesus. How do you even know that it's the truth?
