Catholics call Mary the "Mother of God". I have to disagree with this. Jesus Christ was 100% God and 100% man (mystery in itself). She was the mother of man Jesus, his humanity. She was not the mother of his divinity, his divine nature. God the Father, by his Holy Spirit, put his seed supernaturally in her womb. So Christ has God as his Father. Mary was only the mother to his flesh not his divinity. God has no mother.

Mary is the mother of Jesus. Jesus means savior “.Mat 1:21 And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name JESUS: for he shall save his people from their sins.”
But Mary is not God she just conceive the body of the human form of Jesus “Luke 1:31 And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS.
1:32 He shall be great, and shall be called the Son of the Highest: and the Lord God shall give unto him the throne of his father David:

Jesus is God who took the form of the human it was written in “Philippians 2:5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus:
2:6 Who, being in the form of God, thought it not robbery to be equal with God:
2:7 But made himself of no reputation, and took upon him the form of a servant, and was made in the likeness of men:
2:8 And being found in fashion as a man, he humbled himself, and became obedient unto death, even the death of the cross

I understand what your saying, so maybe Mary wasn't the mother of Christ's Divinity but does this really matter so much as what all Christians do agree on...in Luke ch1 v 26; amp: the angel Gabriel was sent from God..verse 28, and said, Hail o favored one endued with grace, The Lord is with you! Blessed favored of God are you before all other women: verse 30; you have found grace(free spontaneous absolute favor and loving-kindness with God)...verse 35; the Holy spirit will come upon you, the power of the Most High will overshadow you(like a shining cloud) and so the Holy pure sinless offspring which shall be born of you will be called The Son of God...Mary was Blessed before all women, chosen of God isn't' this the most marvelous thing for her, isn't that enough..we agree on the main points and people of the Catholic faith have some hidden truths the rest of us are just finding out..

Mary was technically the mother of God.
She was selected to create a body for Jesus to inhabit.
Jesus being a Spirit.
Jesus was the Son of God and technically God.
Here is where it becomes a little hairy. A lot of ppl can't except that The Holy Spirit The Father and the Son are the same person.
They are. Simply stated.
We do not have three Gods we have one God.
It is the mystery that has been looked at for more years then I have been alive.
No one has come up with the absolute way of explaining it.

Mary was picked to be the mother of Christ human body.
The sin nature is passed through the man. The man sinned
willingly in the garden through Adam, Jesus Christ is called the
second Adam, but with no sin nature because the Holy Spirit
fertilized Mary's egg to be the corporal body of Christ. This is
why Christ was sinless, he had no human, sinner father like us.
Mary was a sinner and she needed a Savior, her Son. We
needed a sinless Savior to pay for the sins of all mankind. He is
totally man and totally God. The uniquely born one.

So only the non-divine part of Jesus emerged from Mary's womb, then?

What became of the other part? Did it stay inside Mary?

Did it come out later, when nobody was paying attention?

Denying Mary is the Mother of God denies the divinity of Jesus Christ.

You can't have it both ways.

Either Jesus was fully God and fully man, or he wasn't.

If he was, and Mary gave birth to him, than Mary is legitimately the Mother of God.

Jesus is God and Jesus does have a mother ... the Blessed Virgin Mary.

People give birth to persons ... not to natures.

Jesus is the 2nd person of the Holy Trinity, true God and true man, and Mary is his mother.

She didn't give birth to just part of him. All of him came into the world through her blessed womb.

The logic is clear. Your beliefs are not.

28 And coming in, he said to her, "Hail, favored one! The Lord is with you." 29 But she was greatly troubled at this statement, and kept pondering what kind of salutation this might be. 30 And the angel said to her, "Do not be afraid, Mary; for you have found favor with God. 31 "And behold, you will conceive in your womb, and bear a son, and you shall name Him Jesus. 32 "He will be great, and will be called the Son of the Most High; and the Lord God will give Him the throne of His father David; 33 and He will reign over the house of Jacob forever; and His kingdom will have no end." 34 And Mary said to the angel, "How can this be, since I am a virgin?" 35 And the angel answered and said to her, "The Holy Spirit will come upon you, and the power of the Most High will overshadow you; and for that reason the holy offspring shall be called the Son of God.

These verses of scripture tell the story Catholics hold Mary in high esteem. I cannot judge them.

Mary was a blessed woman and yes she was Jesus earthly mother. I agree.

I do disagree on Jesus being 100% God. He had the fullness of God in Him. The Lord has just revealed this to my hubby & I... Haven't you ever asked yourself how can Jesus be sitted at the right hand of God when ur belief is that he is God? and that Jesus prayed to the Father? Isn't there alot of ?'s that just don't make sense but yet you believe bc this is what we've been taught? Search it out dear friend...there are many Christians that don't believe in the Trinity. The site I have listed for you below is very informative & explains many scriptures.

Three does not equal One. The Bible repeatedly says that God is one, never that God is three.
Deut 6:4 Hear O Israel, the LORD your God, the LORD is one.
It's really good to search this out & do a study on it. Also ask the Lord to reveal His truth to you. He will do so. When you seek, you will find.

God Bless!

Christians do not worship Christ in the flesh, we worship in the Spirit. If Mary is the mother of God, He does not qualify to die on the cross for our sins. Mary was a sinful human just like all of us, albiet chosen by God to be the human instrument to birth our savior in the flesh, not in the spirit. This was a great honor given to her. also, where in the bible does it say assumption of Mary?

We do not have to think that God has to do Hid actions in supernatural ways. God Himself has created Nature and can take any one as His Mother or Father. How does it matter if X thinks Y was the mother of the son of God. We are the children of God. We have mothers whoare also children of God. God does not have to marry like Man to have sons and children.

If Jesus is God
And Mary is the Mother of Jesus
then Mary is the Mother of God.
(old logic class)

As a Catholic we know and are taught full well the difference in the fact that Mary was the Mother of Jesus Chirst, whom we believe to be fully God the Son. We also know that His Divinity comes fully from Christ.
