I was wondering why you left out Buddhists, but now I know. We can all get along if we try. But, prejudices always seem to get in the way.

We should, but the problem is that people dont believe in others peoples rights to believe what they believe.
Basically, most people believe that if you believe something different than you are wrong and therefore I need to get you to believe what I believe so that you will can be right.
People dont understand........we are ALL different and entitled to our own opinions.
As far as being a Christian.......I think more Christians need to learn how to lead by example. Christians have such a bad rap because of the bible thumpers........the you better believe or you are going to hell........etc. I am a Christian and I can tell you that I probably would have become one alot sooner if it wasnt for all the people TELLING me what to believe, but showing me something different in their actions.
As far as atheists go.......... they dont believe in a god and
they think Christians are stupid for believing in something they cant see, but they dont realize you cant see him, but that you can feel Him... just like you can feel the wind.
Also, I, personally, believe that alot of atheists have had something bad happen to them and so they blame GOD
by saying that he OBVIOUSLY doesnt exist because IF He did...........then he never would have let this or that happen to them, but they forget about "free will". Everyone has free will and not everyone chooses to follow GOD.........

Peace with a Christian is a given, but you never know what youre going to get with an atheist.
Jesus gave us a message to share with the world. Atheists detest that message and typically will not stop short of tyranny to stop it. I predict in 10 generations the US will no longer have freedom of religion as we know it.

Of course we can! I'm a Christian...but some atheists don't respect our beliefs. When we try to tell them about Jesus they start the whole "religious nut" conversation. Well, we are just concerned about their future. The whole purpose of a Christian is to get as many people to heaven and glorify God. Yes we can get along as long as it doesn't require us to do anything contradictory to our faith and our purpose in life. I have some atheists friends too and we get along fine!

Some of us do individually. As a whole it's not likely because both groups have extremists that enjoy attacking the other side.

Believe me, I try, but their are to many different opinions here. EVERYONE, is entitled to their own opinion, that's why people will never get along.
