I just finished answering a question by a Muslim gentleman who supported the Theory of Evolution. He was concerned about people "calling" him an Atheist. Many of the answerers related to his story, and most balked and treated the term as an insult. In all likelihood I think it was probably meant as an insult, so it isn't to them I direct my bafflement (as it would irritate me to be called a Christian, though I don't rag on people who are) but to the people that are using the designator "Atheist" as a perjorative. I call myself an Atheist (because I am) and as long as I don't go around messing with other people about their religiosity, why hate me?

My unemployed christian friend will be 40 soon and has asked me if I’d like to go abroad on holiday with her for 3 weeks to Spain to celebrate it at the beginning of April. I am working then and I will be unable to make it. It’s too short notice and I wouldn’t be comfortable enough going with her anyway. I hardly ever hear from her either (it’s me who does all the chasing). She says she hasn’t the money to go, and is praying for it!! So what happens if I could have made it and then at the last minute, she hasn’t the money to go?

...to the detriment of our spiritual development and our connection with each other?

are atheists today more against organised religion than god??

as an atheist myself i see it this way.... the science is unequivocal there is no proof or evidence that god exists....

this creates 2 possibilities 1 god does not exist nor ever has in this case all religions are wrong or.... 2 we have not yet developed the capacity to study or understand god yet in which case all religions are still wrong

my question again are atheists today more against religion than a god

I'm just trying to get a rough head count / RSVP as to how many will be at the table.

Matt 10:32 Whosoever shall confess me (Jesus) before men, him will I confess also before my Father which is in heaven.

Matt 10:33 But whosoever shall deny me (Jesus) before men, him will I also deny before my Father which is in heaven.

John 14:6 Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: NO man cometh unto the Father (enters Heaven), but by me.

Did the NFL model the football on the Vesica Piscis? If not for Euclid, would Christians have a Jesus fish?

For me, I am curious, why it is easier for some to believe that coffee is still coffee, even if it spills from the cup - than your soul still existing after it leaves your body.

I think this is why I am not an athiest. Unless I am wrong in thinking that athiests don't believe in life after death as well as not believing in God.

Do you believe that your soul goes somewhere? Even if not some sort of 'heaven'?

My grandmother has been into 'horoscopes' for a good portion of her life. For the last 18 years or so, she's lived with us. She has the most outrageous hate for people, makes up all kinds of lies and "conspiracy theories" about our neighbors. She hears who she thinks is a "guy" tormenting her and trying to disturb our family/neighborhood. We haven't had a neighbor that she hasn't had a problem with. She talks/screams back at this 'guy' she hears. Her sense of science and reality is gone. She thinks this 'guy' can cause sounds to come from a object. (A refrigerator running, the cental heat and air machine 'pulling' in sounds as if they are air, sounds in people's houses that are many houses away, etc.) Diagnosed with 'schizophrenia' a long time ago; but that's not all science. It reminds me of Proverbs 25:28. Just wondering if anyone has experience something similar in their own family? I don't believe in the nonsense approach of, "just a bad mind". Or she's "just crazy". A cop-out.

easter is a pagan holiday dressed in Christian clothes. God does not want us worshiping him the way others worship their Gods. How can you miss such an obvios point? or is it just easier to worship blindly and not know what you are doing? as Christians we should not be doing this.

Atheists...especially angry atheists constantly say if not scream to the world that God does not exist. I wonder how any of them act at Christmas. NO SON!!! Santa is NOT real, how can you be so stupid boy?!?!?!?!? Of course they don't act this way, but they have this vendetta against anyone who does believe in God.
People who do believe have been accused of pushing God on others. Well we feel like we are watching someone in a river drowning, and all we want to do is throw them a rope, and the person in the river is yelling at us to stop throwing stuff at them, and to leave them alone.
So back to my original question:
What will an Atheist say when they finally sees God face to face?

If you wanted it divided up into subcategories, what subcategories would you prefer it to be divided into?

Personally, I would appreciate a section for just "Christian" question, and a separate board for each different belief that is widespread on this site. Also, still have the R&S board for those that want to integrate questions between beliefs.

What would you prefer?

Someone in my below question stated that the "e word" Evolutionist is kinda like the "n word".
http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;_ylt=AmDcZD4CU1QGHQL3iBcHiGHd7BR.?qid=20070314072456AAmflo0

Does anyone else feel this way?

I kinda do and I kinda don't. The arguement that we aren't called gravolutionists or heliocentrists kinda persuades me that this is the Creationists use of an "e word" similar to "n word", but I would only offer up that in the context of the Creationism vs Evolution debate, what better label would we as people who promote Evolution prefer?

We moved in two years ago and within a week or two my very spiritual wife became deathly ill. Now two years later she is still struggling with evil energies which has sucked her energy from her to where she can't get out of bed some days. When she sleeps they take over her mind and body. We are not talking about tables levitating or things being moved. Only spirits taking her energy from her and using her as a punching bag. She has always been very intuitive since she was a little girl.
Please only answer with positive helpful answers. We are in need of help and don't know which help is best.

“A woman shall not wear anything that pertains to a man, nor shall a man put on a woman’s garment, for all who do so are an abomination to the LORD your God." Deuteronomy 22:5

Abomination is the same word that god uses to describe homosexuals. So woman who wear pants are going to hell, right?
