If you wanted it divided up into subcategories, what subcategories would you prefer it to be divided into?

Personally, I would appreciate a section for just "Christian" question, and a separate board for each different belief that is widespread on this site. Also, still have the R&S board for those that want to integrate questions between beliefs.

What would you prefer?

I don't mind the one board I only wish it was better moderated. It's like the Wild West in here. It's almost impossible to get a serious discussion going in here. So much ridicule, playing, and insulting. I don't know if dividing the boards up would work because people would still go into each other's boards to mess with them.

One board, though I wish that when people post questions just for atheists, those who are religious would have enough respect to not answer (unless the question is purposely baiting religious people, which some of them are). I also wish that atheists would stop answering questions that were just for Christians, for exactly the same reason, with the same exception.
I believe we just need to promote tolerance in here, and that means EVERYONE.

I like having one category, but am sure that Christians would like a place to discuss their belief without being confronted with tough reality type answers all the time.

I think that having one category really works out for the betterment of all as it helps us all learn a little about others beliefs, even if we don't agree with them.

I'd love to see one section for each religion. That way, someone who knows alot about a particular religion can go to that board to answer questions...as well as if you have a question about a certian religion, you can go right to that category to find the answer.

Several boards would not work. There would still be cross over.

Now--what I would like to see is true respect. I proclaim my self a Christian and try really hard not to offend anyone. BUT I repeatedly get called stupid because I am a Christian. THAT bothers me.......I am expected to respect their veiws and beliefs, but they don't have to respect mine? Just doesn't make sense.

I believe respectful debate is a healthy thing, so I would preserve the current R&S; however, I also feel there should be a separate place for each religion (or lack thereof) so questions may be asked and answered by folks sharing similar beliefs.

You have a nice idea except people will still cross over and the bickering will not end. This by the way is not just Atheist's even the Christian's would do it or the malcontent.

It would not matter. The Christian section would be overrun by people who have a beef with Christian and argue there.

The extremely preachy and conversion seeking Christians would overrun the non-Christian boards to try and spread their faith.

No, I like it the way it is at present. If there were subcategories, people would segregate themselves and there would be no real debate.

It is the right of the people to desagree in a diverse culture, therefor we should have one forum were everyone's views are respected, but not agreed with.
