2Th 3:12 In the name of the Lord Jesus Christ we command these people and warn them to lead orderly lives and work to earn their own living.
I am a christian. The word of God had clearly said it all. Forward the scripture to her.

Stick with No!
Just leave it at you cannot go and that's that and the end of it!!!
Don't or change your mind even discuss any holiday plan.
If she a real friend and not a user she and you be ok!
O you know the answer to the other bit in that she would have been asking you to lend her the money. Someone near 40 / hell anyone with no money should not be planning to waste money she does not have on a non returnable investment / item such as a luxury continental holiday, 40 or no 40.
Stick with NO you can't (and actually don't want to) go! Don't do it, she's a manipulator! Hope this helps you stick to your guns!

Just tell her you can't make it. She sounds like she is not living in reality, because she needs a job and instead expects God to finance her expensive vacation. She needs to get her priorities in order. You should not tell her that though because it will hurt your friendship. Just be a responsible example by living wisely and conservatively. Even when working most people can not afford 3 weeks in Spain. Trust me, God is able to show her the truth in time. Just be a loving friend and don't encourage her bad decisions.

No point in wondering. I think you secretly knew that that was kind of her plan anyway. It is hard to travel with a friend - 3 weeks is a long time and in a foreign country with a different language. I did something similar with one of my closest friends and we didn't speak after returning for like 6 months. I think you made a very smart decision and you came up with air tight excuses, too.
Peace!

Obviously the trip won't happen if she doesn't have the money. It's wishful thinking on her part. It's also not a very responsible thing for her to do. She should be saving money right now not spending money. She should also be looking for a new job as well.

Being a Christian myself just because she "wants" to go on this trip. Does not mean that is what God wants. If you really want to go on the trip find a few more people. That way you won't be by yourself. God might not allow her to have thw money she needs and I would hate for you to have to cancel at the last minute.

Your friend sounds a little annoying! (The whole 'praying' for money and not getting in touch with you often).
Say that you can't make it because of work or money issues.
The only time you should go on holiday with a friend is if you really want to - not because you feel guilty! Holidays can ruin friendships!

Dear think of what you wrote in your question. The Answer is there. Do not go on this trip if she is 40 she should have her life settled, she should also have her own money. Sounds like she is trying to get you along to pay for everything. I understand you helping if she really needed it and couldn't work, but she is willing to go and party in Spain. That means she has the ability to work but she is just too lazy. So The choice is yours, but I would say don't go.

Just be honest & tell her you cant make it - it doesnt sound like she's one of your best friends anyway. Oh & while you're at it, you may want to tell the crackpot to stop praying for some £'s & get a job instead!! Dont let it get to the point where she hasn't the money to go! :)

Tell her you'd love to go, but you only have enough money to pay for your own expenses. If you make plans for the trip, and at the last minute she can't go, you should take the trip and enjoy yourself. After all, you earned the money you'll be spending.
