My mother being murdered when I was 16 triggered off years of awful events on my life, my faith was tested as I couldn't understand why God would do that to a young girl. I had some seriously bad times in my life and I have never been that religious, but i was looking for someone to blame and I questioned the existence of God for a very long time.
Some people go through life having a great time and never really suffering great heartache, i still don't understand why some people go through so much and others hardly anything. The way I see it now is there is always someone far worse off than me and I should count my blessings

Questioning why I believed in god and the validity of the bible tested my faith and eventually made me lose it. My brother and myself being molested by a paedophile churchwarden was the final straw, although that damaged my faith in people and the church rather than my faith in god. The churchwarden being part of the church environment helped me to see things a bit more clearly though.

I lost faith after reading a book about self-awareness! When you see and understand the reality of everything in life, all the false things that you put so much energy into like religion, theories, ideas etc in life just drop like dead leaves!

My first major Acid Trip tested my Faith!
Or rather, I should say, it boosted my Faith! I was agnostic before, and now I have unalterable faith!

My own frailty and tendency to sin led me to stop progression on the spiritual walk after 12 years. Didn't want to serve Christ half heartedly so stopped altogether. There are enough hypocites in the church without me adding to their ranks.

The death of my mother, She was such a good person literally gave the coat off her back.A Christan who taught me to love, to give, to never put myself first. She died of the thing She feared most in life, I had a hard time understanding why God would let that happen.Years later My Doctor who is a
Christian, lost His 32 year old Son,I was able to help Him cope. The wonderful mysteries of God.
