Long time ago when I visit a church with a friend with invites me, I witness an event where the carter or priest or whatever he is (because i dunno who he was and i only know that he reads out the bible content to people.) He was praying for his wife who is a star in Singapore and about to head for USA. Aren't priest can't be married? I thought that priest are like the monks in the asia region who cannot marry? Does it means that the priest in the church CAN get married?

"You've got to be taught to hate," is an old song from the sixties. Children have no natural, inborn, hate or bigotry. Churches have a lot to do with the teaching of hate, so don't blame it all on the parents.

Examples: Witches, Gays, Lesbians, and all non majority religions.

Once taught to hate, the child finds it a wondrous weapon to play with and begins to garner its own list of hates---like other children who might be more intelligent.

Since you believe that Jesus rose from the dead, why do a lot of you vehemently put down other religions such as Paganism claiming it is the work of satan?

I would think anyone being able to be resurrected from the dead would have some kind magickal properties, and even then, why would it be difficult for them to even think for a second that Jesus "resurrection" was by the help fo god and not satan?

I'd like to see a few of you try and answer without saying "It's written in the bible and the bible is the work of God!" or anything similar. Please try and use your imaginations for once?

You could share anything that you want to share. Tell me something about yourself as much as you want to share. What made you become a Christian? Were you born into a Christian household? Or did you become one later in your life? I wan to know about things like that and if you feel like sharing some personal things about yourself as well such as your hobbies . Likes? Dislikes? Interests? Nothing sexual so don't worry that's not where I'm going with it lol. Thanks.

I see many Christians in this section describing atheists as "immoral", "seeing themselves as God" and "being able to kill, lie and cheat without consequences".

Weirdly enough, it's exactly the same as how God is described in the Bible. God is immoral, He sees himself as God and is able to kill, lie and cheat without consequences.

Coincidence?

Today, while studying 1 Kings in the bible about King Solomon I was reading about how he betrayed God. In Chapter 11 it states he had 700 wives of royal blood and 300 wives that were concubines. I was wondering what 'concubines' is? I know it refers to his wives....but what kind of women were they?

Jefferts Schori say Jesus should be looked at as a female. Does this mean that Jesus is a female or is it a hermaphrodite? Im a little confused about the gender of Jesus, or its gender.

Do you really have to believe all the weird magical stories in the Bible, even if you are educated?

Meanwhile all the simple souls who are ignorant of science and find it easy to believe the Bible, they can get saved?

so let me get this right! - I save lives for a living , I perform random acts of kindness , I dont hurt anyone , I will accept everyone for who and what they are. but unless I dont show up for church , call myself a christian and judge the living daylights out of other poor souls and just keep pushing my reilgion onto others I am a cause of concern to God?

This may sound like a stupid question, but I've never been religiously aligned.
I was just wondering if you had to be a member of the catholic church to be able to go talk to a confessional guy.

First of all my apologies to the real followers of religion, but I really must do this as part of a project.

Can you please help me think of questions that do not include the concept of religion, but will provoke some kind of religious response?

For example, ‘Do you think schools should educate children on evolution?’ May be that would draw in some believers to enlighten me on their religion, whatever it is.

And when I ask them, I'll ask them in a different account.

What worries me is how did this happen? When I was 15 the last thing I would have done is believe everything, regarding religion or science that adults told me. I liked to explore, research, and decide for myself.
