What I mean is... was it a voluntary decision? Did you say to yourself "I will love this person" and then make it happen?

Can we choose the yearnings of our heart? Can you? Did you?

If you arent yet serious about the relationship should you tell him? But on the other end if you wait till you are serious it almost seems unfair as if you wait until he loves you too much to make an unbiased decision to stay with you. Its like, would his love blind him to making the decision for his own good or out of pity for me ?

*this is based on one of the intrepretations of the Islam's Qu'ran*

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of God, there was a high ranking creature called Satan who had a thought that he is qualified to become God. But not only this was blasphemous, this is also wrong, for only God is qualified to be God. And so, Satan challenged God.

So, God accepted his challenge, just to prove His point.

The angels were expecting God to obliterate Satan, but nay, God said "I know something you don't know."

So now Heaven is divided, those who support God(angels), those who support Satan(demons), and those who can't make up their mind.

Us.

Perfect chess pieces eh?

In the mean time, Satan was placed as temporary God in a place called Earth. You can pretty much guess what happened to the dinosaurs and the pre-historic man.

So, when the human souls are ready, God created Adam's body, invited Satan into the Garden of Eden,

and the rest is history.

I don't know of any primates that don't participate in homosexual acts except for the majority of our species. Why did God create so many animals that participate in homosexual acts if he hates it so much? Does the Devil have control over these species minds?

Ok, my mum died a few months ago. And lately I’ve being really worried, I want the truth for a change from someone religious.
My mum got cheated on by her husband years ago before I was born and she tried making it work it didn’t he wanted the woman and not her she had a kid with him as well at the time she got a divorce as soon as she found out about him cheating on her and then she met my dad and married him. And had me. Catholics say adultery is wrong, but my mum was a really good person she really loved my dad right till she died for 11 years and she was happy. She wasn’t religious but when when I went to a primary school whci hwas catholic because that was the only ok school around the area then she decided to try out church she liked it a lot and she went odd times. I used to ask her when I was younger if she believed in God and she did. Would she go to hell? Based on the fact she was divorced and so on?

BELIEVE - Heb. 3:19 talks about "belief." Many of the people of Israel did believe in the God of Israel, who was their belief!

The Israelites of Exodus were PROMISED land of BLESSING, PRODUCTIVITY and VICTORY! The Chosen People of God need to learn how to thrive in this Wilderness! That's where we are right now! However, we WILL get the PROMISED LAND! The Cross of Jesus brought us the VICTORY, and MOST ASSUREDLY! Don't let anyone tell you differently. Jesus loves ALL WHO WILL COME TO HIM.

The time is short, though, so don't put it off too long because you might be too late. His Second Coming is right around the corner. Trust in the God of Israel's son, Jesus. God loves you so much that He sent His Son, the "Lamb," as his sacrifice for YOU. God did this because He wanted US to see the assured VICTORY that anyone who believes in His Son will have ETERNAL LIFE!!!! Please don't pass His LOVE up. He loves ALL WHO WILL COME! Won't you come to Him?

Examples: People call certain denominations such as Jehova's Witnesses, Mormons, Amish or Mennonite etc. "cults" without even knowing the minimum about their religion. Do they call them "cults" because they know very little about them? Or because strive to live by their religious ideals? Please enlighten me.

When I first saw a book written by Sylvia Browne, world renowned psychic, her smile and worldly appearance was intriguing. Eventually I picked up a copy of "contacting your spirit guide", and loved her tone in writing. Growing up Catholic and being very spiritual, I have always been into the paranormal & strongly belive in spirits and an afterlife/other side. I have most of her books, & while I do disagree with her on some things she believes, I have to admit I admire the person she is. I love seeing her on Montel, she's funny and she's accepting of many different types of people. One of her books turned my life around and helped me to be more optimistic and deepened my spirituality and appreciation for things. Does anybody else read her books/watch her on TV & admire her also? (no haters please).

When my fiance' was kilt 3 months ago. I was facing the toughest stage of my life. I never experience something so painful like that before. Like I didn't want to live anymore. I started coming to church almost everyday just to be away from home. & keep my mind occupied. Cuz usually I am crying. I cried my heart out to God every single day asking him to take this pain from me and strengthen me. And a couple of months later I was strengthened. Like everyone say... time heals. I don't want to come to church anymore. My friend calls me to ask me to me to come. & I don't have interest anymore. She is upset with me for not coming anymore. I told her I don't need to come to church to show off or prove to everyone I love God. I don't feel bad. She tries to make me feel bad tho by showing she is disappointed. I go to work everyday and after work I am exhausted I go home eat dinner and go to sleep. Then on saturdays I party and sleep in on Sundays so I can have energy 4 work on monday.

Why does Jesus have the name Alpha and Omega?

2007-03-11 08:22:51 · 14 answers · asked by Anonymous

Or would that still not be enough? Would you still argue with people about which type of Christian that they should be? Would it make you feel as if you accomplished something? Would it make it meaningful to you even if a person does so half hearted and not fully into it? Or do you figure it's cool I'll just pray for the person and they'll rejoice? If you say no you wouldn't be happy then why continue to proseltyze? I ask this question to gain insight as I feel absolutely baffled and mind boggled by some of you. So please don't take offense to the question. Just answer it and help me figure it out. Thanks. I know there are probably gonna be some who hate me for this questrion or maybe even be disgusted with me already.

So far today I've asked some basic questions about evolution.

I've already addressed the most direct problems with the answers (the ones worth taking seriously), now for the most common problem that I saw:

Reading of facts into evidence.

So I have to ask, is evolution tested in isolation (ever)? Are all new discoveries tested under the umbrella of evolutionary supervision or is there ever any neutrality?

Why do so-called scientists feel that it's okay to read into a new discovery facts that aren't there but are only assumed to be true, and doesn't this automatically obviate a rejection of conclusions due to lack of control?
