I've been missing a few Sundays here and there because frankly I'm not getting along with some people there. One of those people told me what I am doing is a sin, but I don't think it is. Is it?

No, It's NOT a sin and anyone who tells you otherwise is usually bound up in legalism. You just follow the Holy Spirit and you will be fine..I could elaborate but, I won't...

I completely agree with V.W....answered below

No. The church is a building where people come and meet. I don't think that it is mentioned anywhere in the bible you will go to hell because you miss a few sermons. If you worship God in your own way once and a while that's ok. Sometimes it is a good thing. However, if you are having a problem with some of the people at your church you may want to sit down with them and a neutral party and try and work it out. If that doesn't work, maybe you need to find a different congregation where you are happy.

First off, that person telling you that it is a sin is doing the very thing that Christians are not supposed to do. Judge. If anything they are supposed to pray for you, your soul and your return to church, etc. Second point, although people go to church it does not mean that God or Jesus exist in that buidling. Anybody can set up shop, read from the book and claim to be a church. Church is within you. Your relationship with God is in you as well and is not for anyone else to question or judge. So no. It is not considered a sin. There are many other ways to get the Word.

It's a command:

Heb 10:25 Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching.

It's better to spend some time in worship w/those you don't get along with than to spend an eternity with them. Worship is for and to the Lord. It's not a social hour. Exhort those you don't get along with. You may be surprised at the outcome. But most importantly, pray.

Not showing up to church would be like not showing up to your family's house on holidays because youre having problems with your siblings.

I think its pretty obvious what you need to do. Its ok to miss church now and then as you need to but NOT to avoid it. If that person has sinned against you do what the Bible prescribes, talk to them and if they dont see reason then bring people into the matter. If you are the one that sinned, then own up to it.

it's a sin not to give glory to God

more importantly...it would be best to try and forgive and get along with the people you are having trouble with... reconciliation is cool and very christian

"do not forsake the assembling with others as is the habit of some" Hebrews 10:25

No it's not a sin to miss church.. i missed it this morning(i'm waayyyyyyy preggo so i cant get there as much as i would like)
But have you ever thought that the enemy is putting a strain on your relationships with your church family to keep you away from his word?
I would pray for those that have hurt you and try to get back into the routine of going to church.

i know that when i miss church my heart is heavy.

If you are on a true religion, it is a sin not to attend church activities.

Hebrews 10:25 not forsaking our own assembling together, as the custom of some is, but exhorting one another; and so much the more, as ye see the day drawing nigh.

its not a sin to not go to church. religion sucks. the point of going to church is to fellowship with your brothers and sisters in Christ. but if you don't get along w/them you should maybe find another church. You should however, spend time with God everyday. Cus He loves you.

No...But it is very important to praticpate in Church i fellowship with other believers. But you should have a personal time in the Bible if you miss it.It is wrong to miss it on purpose. If you disagree withs some of the peoples beliefs in your church you should think about joining a differnet church.
Always Glorify God.
