I'm doing a project and I just wanted to know about how many religions there are around the world.

It take more than a project to tackle that one, you need to write thousand of books to cover it.

I read once that there is a religion, or path.or belief.or a variance of different religions and paths to God on this planet for every day of the year.so I guess about 350 different paths to God,is here now.is close to your answer.It would be hard to find out exactly

There are 22 major, base religions, not including different sects. Of course, there are so many religions that dig into variations of these, as well as those that are completely original, so it's really uncountable.
