114. Say: "Shall I seek for judge other than Allah. - when He it is Who hath sent unto you the Book, explained in detail." They know full well, to whom We have given the Book, that it hath been sent down from thy Lord in truth. Never be then of those who doubt.

115. The word of thy Lord doth find its fulfilment in truth and in justice: None can change His words: for He is the one who heareth and knoweth all.

If the Bible is the word and it can't be changed ...Why do Muslims say it is corrupt?...If it can be changed then Allah was wrong?

Sternchen Yes the God of Abraham always kept his word...the Allah of Muhammad could not seems to prove they are not the same god....What kind of God can not keep his word? If God can not keep his word how could he be trusted? Muslims have said he promised to keep the Qu'ran...Dies giod have to give his word and then also promise is their god's word not good enough? Isnt the promise itself inside the scriptures that could be corrupted?

Hi djmantx Muslims tell us the Jews changed the original Torah handed down from Allah direcly to Moses and Christians the original Gospel given to Jesus from Allah while he was still alive. Both are lost.

To make these claims of tampering credible these questions would have to be anwered.

When happened this tampering? [Before or after Muhammad]?
Who did the tampering?
Where was it done? [city, country, ...?]
What parts of the text were changed?
How was it done [i.e. without leaving traces of it]?
Why would anybody do this incredibly difficult thing?

I never heard a Muslim answer any of these.

The Qur'an says in the Sura of the Cattle (Al-An`am) 6:34, "There is no changing to the Words of God"; and again in Jonah (Yunus) 10:64, "There is no change to the Words of God."

Copies of THE TRUE TORAH AND THE TRUE GOSPEL were present in Mecca and Medina at the time of Muhammad. You can read this in the Quran.

The Prophets (Al-Anbiya') 21:105, Middle Meccan.

"Before this We wrote in the Psalms, after the Message (given to Moses): `My servants, the righteous, shall inherit the earth.'"

This is a direct quotation from Psalm 37:29 which reads, "The righteous shall inherit the earth and dwell therein forever." When considered with the preceding quotation from the same Sura (21:7), it is clear that, according to the Qur'an, God is quoting from the Psalms as still present and true at the time of Muhammad.

Since no Muslim has brought forth from one of the great Islamic libraries an ancient manuscript of a different Torah or a different Gospel, and since no archaeological discoveries have shown any carved quotations which differ from the Torah and Gospel present WITH US now; we can be sure that the books which were available in Mecca during the lifetime of Muhammad were identical to

The Torah and the Gospel we have today.
God keeps his Word.

May the peace, blessings and mercy of God be upon you

[006:114] [Say (O Muhammad [Peace Be Upon Him]):] "Shall I seek a judge other than God while it is He Who has sent down to you the Book (the Qur'ân), explained in detail." Those to whom We gave the Scripture [the Torah and the Gospe)] know that it is revealed from your Lord in truth. So be not you of those who doubt.

[006:115] And the Word of your Lord has been fulfilled in truth and in justice. None can change His Words. And He is the All-Hearer, the All-Knower.

This is a much better translation, I have read that Marmaduke Pickthall translation in its entirety, he put a good effort for the first English translation but the old English takes away from much of the understanding.

The verses simply state, that no one can change the word of God (the Qu'ran in its original Arabic). It also says that the people of the book (Jews and Christians) also know this.

See, I think you have a misunderstanding, we believe in Moses and the Torah he was sent with, but obviously the people changed it, this is why Jesus Son of Mary was sent to the Children of Israel as well with a Gospel. Now the difference today is that, we believe in the Gospel of Jesus and the Torah of Moses to be the true revelation from God,

but those versions that exist today, are obviously not God's word (there are contradictions, and it is proven they were written by men [mark mathew, john , etc). I have even seen pastors say the bible was not God's word, but rather "inspired" something like this, to cover the contradictions.

So, the point is that, a final and complete revelation was needed for all mankind. And this was the Holy Qu'ran given to the Prophet Muhammad peace be upon him, via the Archangel Gabriel. It is perfected and will stay this way until the Day of Judgment.

Peace Be With You

أَفَغَيْرَ اللّهِ أَبْتَغِي حَكَمًا وَهُوَ الَّذِي أَنَزَلَ إِلَيْكُمُ الْكِتَابَ مُفَصَّلاً وَالَّذِينَ آتَيْنَاهُمُ الْكِتَابَ يَعْلَمُونَ أَنَّهُ مُنَزَّلٌ مِّن رَّبِّكَ بِالْحَقِّ فَلاَ تَكُونَنَّ مِنَ الْمُمْتَرِينَ {114}
[Shakir 6:114] Shall I then seek a judge other than Allah? And He it is Who has revealed to you the Book (which is) made plain; and those whom We have given the Book know that it is revealed by your Lord with truth, therefore you should not be of the disputers.
[Pooya/Ali Commentary 6:114]
The Holy Prophet seeks no other standard of judgement save Allah's will. He knows that Allah, in His grace, has explained His will in the Quran. The people are warned not to be among those who doubt.

وَتَمَّتْ كَلِمَتُ رَبِّكَ صِدْقًا وَعَدْلاً لاَّ مُبَدِّلِ لِكَلِمَاتِهِ وَهُوَ السَّمِيعُ الْعَلِيمُ {115}
[Shakir 6:115] And the word of your Lord has been accomplished truly and justly; there is none who can change His words, and He is the Hearing, the Knowing.
[Pooya/Ali Commentary 6:115]
Tammat - fulfilment or perfection - refers to the following conclusions.

1. Perfection of the religion of Allah after the announcement of the wilayah of Imam Ali at Ghadir Khum - refer to verses 67 and 3 of al Ma-idah .

2. The fulfilment of the promise of sending the comforter, the spirit of truth (the Holy Prophet). Refer to the commentary of al Baqarah : 40.

3. The fulfilment of the promise of help given to the Holy Prophet on several occasions - Badr, Uhad, Khaybar etcetera - when the Holy Prophet and Islam were saved through Imam Ali, the hand of Allah (Yadullah).

"There is none who can change His words" is a challenge that the Quran, the revealed word of Allah, will never, like the earlier heavenly scriptures, be tampered with or made to lose its originality and genuineness, as has been explained by Aqa Mahdi Puya in his essay "The originality of the Holy Quran". To save the Quran from tahrif (change), under the command of Allah, the Holy Prophet left the Quran in the safe hands of his Ahl ul Bayt. Refer to hadith al thaqalayn in the introduction under "Essentials: For the readers of the Holy Quran".

That verse is about the Quran and not the Bible.

Writes like a contradiction. But Muslims will deny there are any contradictions in the Koran, because it could be hell fire for them.
