I live in Hudson County, New Jersey. I would love to get back to church but no catholic or fundi or baptist. So sick of all those cult-like people with their noses in the air judging everyone and everything. God loves us all. He made us all differant. He made people straight and he made some gay and he made all differant races. I would like to worship in love, peace and joy instead of hate, judgment and hypocrites. Maybe we could start our own church. Peace and go away haters!!!!!!!!!!!

Why all the negativity towards Muslim people / religion on here. I'm quite shocked on the number of questions that point only negative people who happen to be Muslim. Unfortunately, not everyone follows their religion, but it does not mean that the religion is to blame. When are people going to realize a murderer and criminal can be Christian, Jews, Hindu, white, black, brown or whatever.

In part one of this question, I was merely pointing out what I feel shoud be painfully obvious, especially to those claiming to be intelligent Christians. I am a christian myself, but my lord would never even suggest that I relenquish the use of the brain he gave me for the sake of blind faith as espoused NOT BY HIM, but by my fellow humans ( now theres a reliable source ). Before you will be considered any better then fanatics, you must find a way to address some of the glaring inequities surrounding christianity, and that includes finding god's truest expression for your life, personally, having nothing to do with what anyone else thinks. So wrap this Part II
I've been told time and time again that god, as the father of mankind, is capable of a love far greater than anything man can conceive of. As a father myself, I can't think of anything my kids could ever do that would make it OK for me to send them to an eternal lake of fire for their sins. Talk about spritual child abuse!!!

If you believe that a god might possibly exist then you ought to be wracked with fear that you chose the wrong one, or that you chose the right one but failed to worship him correctly, or that you thought a naughty thought, or committed some other error that you might not even know about, and are destined to spend eternity being tortured in whichever version of Hell turns out to be the right one.

If you don't live in terror of such an eventuality then it's reasonable for us atheists to conclude that you don't really believe that gods can be real, any more than we do... isn't it?

...weren't the original Semites Black? Assuming that the answer is 'yes', wasn't Moses Black also....Wasn't this Black man, this Moses, the giver of Hebrew Law?

(Having a little difficulty distinguishing between anti-Black (racism) and "anti-semitsm". Don't they both mean practically the same thing?)

Facts similar in the quran and the bible:
jesus (SWW) will ressurect one day (100% true).
the stories of the main prophets and the miraculous birth of jesus.
adam and eves story is the same.
god made the world in six days (muslims believe he did not need rest because all he said was be and it was).
satan is bad
there are various rules of life which match each others scriptures.
pre-marital sex is forbidden

there are similarities in the torah
like eating only holy food (kosher and halaal)
and the ten commandments


basically if you want to know about a religion the bible is a good source but the quran shows you a way to overcome your urges and bad deeds for instance:
pornography
where a veil so men stop looking at the backsides of women (some women like that)

stealing
chop the arm off
this is a very serious point let me ask you a question would you steal if you might get them chopped off?

or does it have to move through time in an on going forward direction. if hypnosis does work in helping people remeber there former lives we could find people with future lives and use them to find out about the future.

What I mean is:

I am told I am a sinner.
I need to be saved.

There is no guarantee I will be saved, despite my best efforts to appeal to & appease God. I am told that only God knows who will make it, & that there will be those who genuinely think they will, that don't.

I don't get it. If there is no bona-fide guarantee you will make it to heaven, doesn't this make all religion obsolete? How can peopel sell a biblical solution to people that isn't even a solution?

How can ministers preach a hopeless hope to their congregation? How can people feel encouraged to seek God, if there is no way to know if their names really will or won't be in the lamb's book of life when he returns?

I don't even want to waste my time on it if I can't know.

are we always making personal judgments? I understand that Jesus has the final say in our lives as to where our soul ends up. While we are on earth, we are constantly judging each other even though I keep hearing here that we are not to judge anyone. Only to love our neighbors and our enemies. But get real people, we are always making some sort of judgment on family, friends and strangers. We make a judgment when we read about Pres Bush and the war, we make a judgment when we heard about Anna Nicole Smith's death, we make a judgment when we hear about a mother drowning her children in their bathtub, we make a judgment when we hear about Saddam's hanging...... Whenever we hear or read news, we make a judgment, When we hear our 15 yr cousin got pregnant, or when our neighbor's 17 yr son got arrested for drinking and driving, etc. Please be honest people. We do make quick and sometimes rash judgments. Is this what Jesus was talking about or was He talking about criminal judgment?
