Please note, I have not pointed out any particular religion here. Instead of nationality or occupation or many other ways people self-identify religion suddenly seems to be the primary factor of late, especially since the 9/11 terror attacks.

No one lacks identity! Save, those try to pass judgment on others or feel that they must categorize humans that have different ideas than theirs.

Religion gives people a sense of belonging to a movement that is greater than themselves. They don't have the ability to seek that feeling on their on so they rely on others as spiritually weak as they are to help them along.
