As a non-christian, ignorant non-christians offend me even more than christians.

Who is we? It sounds like you may have run into somebody who may have represented themselves as a Christian and not have been or else they were in a time of their lives when they were not as close to God as they should have been so that their witness to you wasn't what it should have been. A Christian's goal in life is to try and be more like Jesus every day. Jesus was the only perfect one to have ever walked the face of this earth but we do try to be like Him. As Christians we are supposed to love you, pray for you, do good to you even when you feel that we are scum. Jesus loved those that beat Him, pulled out His beard, spit on Him, called Him names,and hanged him naked in front of a huge crowd on the cross. He even prayed that God would forgive them because they didn't know what they were doing. I hope you will meet some true Christians who can show you the difference between the scum that you have met and a true believer. Also, as a final note, we might not be here much longer anyway because the signs of the times indicate that the believers may soon be out of here. I don't think you will be as happy to have us gone as you think you might because without believers here things are going to be a LOT worse than they are now. It won't just be America with no Christians but the whole world. Sounds like you might want to think about this and make some plans for your future.

Be patient. When Christ returns you won't have to deal with Christians anymore.
You will know when this is. Millions of people will vanish in the blink of an eye.
Then you can do what you want without worrying about Christians.

Only after they toss the freedom of religion out with all the other human rights.
You need to learn to respect your fellow human beings.
