"i'll say nothing more" on my poem? you didn't even say anything! your answer was useless and pointless. go back and slam me, i don't care as long as you say something that will help me improve! tell me what you hate about it!

To answer YOUR question, you can't just be like, "i want faith" and get it! you take your own beliefs and that is your faith. go ahead and learn about different religions, talk to people about religions and philosophies. explore who you are and what you believe in.

I suppose it depends on what you want to have faith in. Do you remember believing something when you were a kid? Tooth Fairy, Santa Claus, Easter Bunny? You just knew that it was true no matter what. It's very child-like. Some would even say naieve. If you want to have faith in people, you'll never get it. Same for the lottery, and a new car. If you want to have faith in God, pray everyday and you'll get it because He'll give it to you. Do you know how I know? It's because I have faith He will.

Read the Koran and study Islam. Visit a local Mosque and get some "Good" books on Islam.

I had the same problem and doing all of this helped tremendously. Christianty and the Bible have a lot more meaning now that I understand Islam.

As a Christian, I have a hard time explaining where my Faith came from. I really cant. I only know that its there. I think thats why its sometimes called a "leap of Faith". I will offer a suggestion, pray for it. If often times prayed for God to increase my faith, and he has never failed me. I feel that if you are truly seeking faith and the word of Christ for you salvation, God will not withhold it from you. Know in your heart that God loves you. Id start there. Id also seek out a non-denominational Christian church. One that practices the teachings of Christ.

According to the bible it's from God.

"For by grace you have been saved through faith. And this is not of yourselves; it is the gift of God." Ephesians 2:8

It might be that you're one of the people for whom Christianity just doesn't do much.

There's no particular reason for anyone to have faith. However, if you're looking for a religion to stir you spiritually, I recommend taking the Belief-O-Matic quiz over at Beliefnet.com:

http://www.beliefnet.com/story/76/story_7665_1.html

It's fun, and it matches you up with a wide variety of religions and philosophies based on your answers, with write-ups for each one. The results can be very surprising.

Best of luck on your search!

By following the admonition in the Bible to "grope for him and really find him, although, in fact, he is not far off from each one of us." (Acts 17:27) many have found him 'nearby'. I know I did!

If you have been Born-Again you have Faith.
After that, you have to Hear the Word to get it to Grow.

Faith (the Substance of Things Hoped for) comes by Hearing, and Hearing by the Word of GOD.
Ditto...................

p.s.
When you Read the Bible, you HEAR it in your MIND, you can get your Faith to Grow by just Reading the Bible with your Eyes.

Magic. Enter the realm of faires and mythtical creatures. Ride your favorite dragon of all to the deep moutians. Don't worry! Dwarfs are there to help you find your food. Your dragon will take you to your own magical 4 story house. Faires will decorate and you will host a great party on the afternoon of the elves. Oh, yeah! God doesn't exist, so here's a simple question: How can you?
