If one held that this jesus fellow had some wise things to say& lived their life in accordance w/his teachings, but they did not think he was god, or even the son of god, or maybe even doubted that he existed, but think if he did then he was 'just' a wise & enlightened man (like buddha)... would that person still go to hell?

2007-03-07 11:34:22 · 11 answers · asked by Anonymous

They can still pray alone or in groups at any time during school. The law simply says you cannot FORCE kids to pray.

Or do u believe that God is all around us in each and every living and non material object and we hence respect all of these as we respect GOD?

Implying all have free will is insinuating they do as they wish.

This is not so.

We are told we must choose either heaven or hell to spend eternally, that this is "free will".

So far, I have chosen neither. "Christians" get confused sometimes & try to say not choosing heaven is the same as choosing hell.

Utter hogwash. This is like saying not choosing a pink crayon means you chose green.

I will choose neither. Maybe God will? Who knows.

No matter how you look at it, only what God wants (you choose heaven or hell, no other choices) gets done.

My will gets trampled. In reality, I have no choice, no free will. Else, God would allow me to choose that should I die, I will remain dead as though I never were for all eternity.

Since I do not care for either of Gods "choices", I shall never choose. God will have to choose one for me.

I am not happy. God is violating my free will every way you look at it. I can't choose what I want seeing he will not give it me.

Freewill is a myth?

Will you just stay dead and be dust in a grave? Do you want to be like that?

Or will you live again?
Jesus died on the cross so that we may live again like he did. He took the same route as someone who dies and went to the grave and rose from the dead. In john 3.16 it says

"For God so loved the world that He gave his only begotten son for whosoever believeth in Him shall not persih but have everlasting life."

No human can ever judge our hearts because whatever they think is absolutely wrong. Only God can judge us and see our hearts and see our true colors.

If you believe in Jesus and accept Him, He will grant you everlast life! you don't have to stay dead in the dust!

What do you guys think?

Because if you have both, then the Muslim students will be rushing out of class five times a day for prayers; and of course the pagans and Satanists will demand equal time and space for their rituals (don't want to think too much about that, do we); and the Catholics will insist on a crucifix in every room; and the Native American kids will light up their peyote cigarettes; and, and, and it's just too much!

Are we teachable or are we stuck in our ways?

please be honest and may God lead you into all truth

(touching on an earlier question...)

This story has been circulating since 1936 (before 'supercomputers have proven it', as you claim) and even believing that claim shows a complete lack of understanding (how exactly would a 'missing day' present itself thousands of years later?) and a complete willingness to accept stories as true without bothering to verify them.

If anybody really believes it's been proven, could you please explain how it's possible to prove it? I'm not asking if you believe it's true, but if it's been proven.

People are always asking for examples of profound, meaningful bible passages. While I'm sure you have several pithy quotes at your disposal, I'm more interested in those really pointless, meandering passages, where you're just like, Why the hell would somebody include that bit of drivel in God's Holy Word?

So go ahead, give me your best drivel.

Do you belive in the Darth Vador theory and Satan? the theory
goes Lucifer was number two to God in heaven (before he was replaced by Christ) and was angered, when he saw that God loved humans more than Angels. Lucifer set out to show God how weak human beings were when he tricked Adam and Eve he was shocked that God still loved Humans. In his anger, Lucifer waged war against God with many angels on his side. He was not victorious, and was banished to Hell. In Hell, Lucifer became desperately obsessed with the destruction of everything God had set up, thus giving into his anger and hatred consuming him and losing the angelic, human qualities of love and mercy and, thus becoming Satan like Skywalker became Vader.
