When the Messiah comes, how will we know which one it is. According to the Jews, they are still awaiting the first coming. Christians are waiting for the second coming. Seems this could be confusing to a lot of people if there isn't a memo, or some sort of mass email or something.

Just wondered.

The culture in Muslim worlds and Christian communities in this country have deprived their younger generation the opportunity to decide.

Under the parental guidance, kids at age 5 can be a suicide bomber with full pride. This is not the result of brainwash, may be you can give it a better name.

I keep trying to ask this and it keeps not posting. Last try: How did you end up at Yahoo Answers? What first led you to try it? For me it was being irritated that "Nicole and Paris Have Lunch!" was Yahoo's features story and I needed to vent. What about you?

Open your eyes and ponder this question. If God created everything, why would he have reason to hate or love only certain things. The answer is that he loves everything. God understands our situation, because he put us here. Screw all this bs about we aren't perfect and we have to ask for forgiveness to enter heaven. WE ARE ALL GOING TO HEAVEN, REGARDLESS. You know why? becuase it is not our fault even in the deapest bounds of our soul, our faults are Gods faults, and to God they are not faults, but necessary to the overall functioning of His kingdom, without sin there is no Good. Take a long hard look at reality theists, and realize that you are what you are, nothing more than the being of God, so stop trying to define Him, and stop putting words in His mouth. The bible is the work of forty crazies who took advantage of the weak, dont be suppressed by its elusion, and join the true faith in God.

1rst Thessalonians 4:14 thru 18 but especially verse 17:"Then we who are alive and left will be caught up in the clouds together with them to meet the Lord in the air; and so we will be with the Lord forever."
Chapter 1 verse 10 says : "and to wait for his Son from heaven, whom he raised from the dead-Jesus,who rescues us from the wrath that is coming ."
O.K. what part of that don't you understand.1rst Thessalonians was written about 54 A.D. and not some part of a little girl's fantasy from the 1800s.Those who deny the coming Rapture ,deny what's written in Scripture. The phrase "caught up" is the Greek word "harpazo".Jerome, when writting his 'Vulgate',translated that to the Latin "Rapturos" meaning "snatched away".
One day before the "Lawless One "is revealed,we who are alive and left will be "Raptured" to meet the Lord.
What say you to that??? Peace out.

Jesus tells us in Matthew 5: 17-20 that the law is still in effect until heaven and earth pass. He also states that unless our righteousness should exceede that of the scribes and pharisees (lawmakers and priests), then we shall in no case enter in to the kingdom of heaven.

Paul on the other hand says that we are no longer under the law. And that all we need do is believe in Jesus' name and we shall be saved. This is in direct opposition to what our Savioiur Jesus said in Matt 5 16-20, as well as Matt 7: 21-23.

I hear objections such as "It couldn't happen by chance" ((chance plays a very minute role))...Or "Science is proving evolution wrong" ((which is simply false, although pseudo-scientists are trying))...

Why hasn't this issue been settled?

How many Creationists are in here?

Biologists(evolutionists) why do you see a problem with Creation when evolution is technically a religion?

I mean the only difference is that you're using my tax money to teach your religion: Admit it, evolution takes faith....

Specifically, why have you not accepted that Jesus used marijuana to heal people? It was in the oil He was annointed in, a recipe described by God to Moses in the old testament.

It had been used only for priests and kings, but Jesus changed all that and used it for commoners. John the baptist annointed him with it. Annointed=messiah=the christ. If Jesus was not annointed with this holy oil he could not have been accepted as the Christ.

The Catholic Church said that Kaneh-bosm should be translated as Calamus, not Cannabis. This doesn't make sense because it clearly looks like cannabis (marijuana, which was a common crop in that area) and researchers are now saying the description is more likely to refer to cannabis.

The problem is that the Catholic Church does not want this info to come out, even now. Cannabis tends to promote free-thinking. It would be horrible for them. And the funny thing is, even Protestants are playing into it. Will you?

NOTE: Answers that do not directly relate to the question will be reported without hesitation.

If you truly believe that you have free will, then how can you state that God is truly omniscient? If God does not know what you are going to do, then He is no more omniscient than Mystic Meg, TV Astrologer.

I have used this line of reasoning on several occasions when debating religion with theists, and the effect is quite suprising. Theists are quite happy to debate many aspects of their beliefs, but when it comes to free will, the mental barriers slam down into place.

As an afterthought, if God truly cannot see the future, for whatever reasons, then aren't all religious prophecies/predictions completely worthless? If even God does not know if it will come true, then what's the point of it? Or, if God knows it is going to come true (e.g. a certain person will become King at a certain time) then how could the people involved avoid the outcome - where is their free will? :(

Ask yourself this: What is more difficult to endure? A life with or without God. People without religion live a life without meaning, a life without answers. Non religious people have tenfold the faith that God exist than religious people do, becuase they live life even without purpose, they live life without meaning. I think the bible and religion is the work of the devil, and God made religion and the bible to weed out the weak, from the strong. People who seek meaning in life are not strong, because they feel something is missing, and they turn away from the true meaning of life, which is to do the best that you can. Our nature, our mind, our destiny is already made up and God doesn't care what you do with it, he just cares that he could be a part of it. Religious people are the ultimate sinners in society because they dont have faith in their fellow man and try to reason with God and put words in His mouth. Shame on you, and shame on your blasphemy.
