Specifically, why have you not accepted that Jesus used marijuana to heal people? It was in the oil He was annointed in, a recipe described by God to Moses in the old testament.

It had been used only for priests and kings, but Jesus changed all that and used it for commoners. John the baptist annointed him with it. Annointed=messiah=the christ. If Jesus was not annointed with this holy oil he could not have been accepted as the Christ.

The Catholic Church said that Kaneh-bosm should be translated as Calamus, not Cannabis. This doesn't make sense because it clearly looks like cannabis (marijuana, which was a common crop in that area) and researchers are now saying the description is more likely to refer to cannabis.

The problem is that the Catholic Church does not want this info to come out, even now. Cannabis tends to promote free-thinking. It would be horrible for them. And the funny thing is, even Protestants are playing into it. Will you?

Dybtz, cannabis is not dangerous unless it is consumed with alcohol because it makes the effects of alcohol stronger. You've really bought into the propaganda it would seem. It is a medicine, given to us by God, and has been used as such for thousands of years.

How great would it be to see christians in mass out there trying to legalize marijuana. Religious practice didn't work for Native Americans and peyote, but the christian coalition may have a little more pull.

If they start passing out doobies in church, I guarantee attendance would go up drastically.

Right, most shamen use some sort of drug to enhance spirituality. While it's a really interesting theory and potentially a reality, it still doesn't justify drug use.

Cannabis does not promote free thinking, it clouds what little free thought you have. Like any other brain altering drug, alcohol included, you think that you're more lucid but in reality you're not. You have a wonderful mind, and if you train it just like you train any skill it can be used in many exciting ways. Using cannabis is a dangerous and unfruitful "shortcut"

No, I speak for myself and a lot of others. I really don't care what the Catholic do. I don't know who twisted your mind up about Jesus using marijuana to heal people. Jesus didn't need any herbs to heal, He had the Power from His Father to heal. "Researchers are now saying", What kind of Gospel is that?-- So, your saying Catholics, are using drugs to alter their minds. Protestants don't teach that, what's more, the scriptures says not to drink strong drink, because it alters your mind, being Drunk, to put it more bluntly.

I smoked the stuff for years myself, so I can understand how your thinking has become so clouded.
Repent and believe the Gospel.

Spell "Protestant"....
P-R-O-T-E-S-T - ant...

therefor, we "do" what we're called to do: "PROTEST!"
(If the name fits, wear it!) They don't call us protestants for nothing.
