He knew the Nazis were coming to bomb London, but he didn't warn the English because he didn't want the Germans to know they'd broken the code. I wonder if he was one of the ones who hurried off from the truth. He's got a lot of blood on his hands.

If he meant by this that people have the truth available to them in the bible which they then read, but sadly ignore. I would say that he was right.
