The culture in Muslim worlds and Christian communities in this country have deprived their younger generation the opportunity to decide.

Under the parental guidance, kids at age 5 can be a suicide bomber with full pride. This is not the result of brainwash, may be you can give it a better name.

Actually, I agree. Children should be given the choice, and not forced to choose one or the other. I was allowed to choose, to my knowedge, without influence and I became a faithful Christian.

It doesn't matter what you teach them because in the end they have the choice to accept what you've taught them or reject it. As a rule we as parents teach and act what we believe and more is caught than taught. I choose to teach the love of an almighty Father and the sacrifice of His Son and I pray that my actions will show these. But with the going and popular type of mentality I guess people will next be questioning weather or not I should teach my daughter that 2+2=4.

I've never taught my child to bomb anyone thank you very much, and I'm not Muslim.

Children need to be raised with a firm foundation and taught. When they are of age they will be free to choose the road they wish to explore.

Any parent who does not secure roots with their offspring is not much of a parent.

What you are saying would also suggest allowing our children to learn math and social studies and history is brainwashing. Your whole premise is foolishness. I suspect you maybe a child your own self - if not, then you certainly lack mature thought.

Wow! What an enlightened question! I did just that. His mom was Unity (not dogmatic) but her family were So. Baptists. I was never shy about expressing my views, but always with the caveat that they were just my beliefs (atheistic) and that 1. He should seek his own path, sample different beliefs and find what works for him and 2. Others in the family would condemn me to him (I was right) and that he needed to understand that I was a good man in spite of my not adhering their beliefs and was just as good as they were.

I didn't indoctrinate him or prosletyze to him, just let him know he should be free to choose and was OK just the way he is.

He's an atheist.

Interesting that a reasoned, authentic answer got a thumbs down. Pretty pathetic - and typical.

it somewhat is the job of mothers and fathers to guard their toddlers. and because Christians (for occasion) see secure practices as coverage of an afterlife in heaven, it somewhat is a ingredient of the ensure's accountability to coach their toddlers the potential to income eternity, that's faith! additionally, if this replaced into not carried out, and young ones waited until they have been previous to undertake Catholicism for occasion, it could be plenty greater good to settle for theory-approximately God, and the full spirituality element. on the different hand, if at a undeniable age the guy feels that he does not have self assurance interior the religion that replaced into chosen for him, he can purely go away it!

It is the parents responsiblity to guide them into the right derection and a christian that excepts his own religion we be off and the ones that fall short will fail the final test. Christian life is to better the life of the child...to teach and promote love for ones neighbors and to love ones God...there is nothing bad in that.

"NO RELIGION" would help the brainwashed to think clearly and focus on their relationship with their neighbor and community rather than 'what i believe is pure' and dividing everyone, agreeably. That's what the problem is, RELIGION!

If something you did bettered your life, wouldn't you want your child to be a part of it? Should we not teach our children to brush their teeth, let them decide if they want to? Let them decide to eat veggies or not? No, because its what is good for them. In my opinion believing in God is good for them too, so I plan on teaching my child about God. If they choose to believe in Him after knowing what I know, great! If they choose another way, I'll be heartbroken, but I cannot force them into my beliefs. Ya dig?
