All Buddhist retreats are what you make of them. There's even a 28 day Vipassana in-house retreat in the latest issue of "Tricycle" and stuff at their website about it.

Retreats with the monks in Tibet are always a possibility... you can win them through SnowLionpub.com if you register... there are various magazines (Buddhadharma, Shambala Sun, etc.) that have ads in them too...

I'm doing the 28 day in house via "Tricycle" since it's the easiest for me right now...

Here are some websites you can peruse besides what I've given you... FPMT.org, check out Sogyal Rinpoche's retreats www.rigpaus.org, Shambala (kagyu) at Karme Choling www.karecholing.org, etc.

It all depends on what you want and what type of meditation you want to engage in.

Write Buddhist Retreat, Thailand. Whichever Retreat Centre gets your letter will likely be a good one. Or look them up on the internet and write them all.

If you live in Canada, write the Buddhist Temple, Richmond Hill, Ontario, or the same in Edmonton, Alberta.
