Remember this, if bad things happen to you, don't forget there is a better place up there. I know its difficult to take but don't forget we are meant to be on earth for a short time. It's all about testing your faith. Whether you'll deviate from the path of righteousness is your call. But if you stand firm through all the tears and pain, I tell my friend, you'll be be rewarded big time somewhere down the line.
You are both in my prayers.

And why do good things happen to bad people?

I'm sorry your friend is suffering, it's hard to accept pain in someone you love. My husband's father was killed in a car accident and he was in such pain and I couldn't do anything to help except pray for him and be there for him.

Do the same for your friend. Remember God loves too.

I shall pray for your friend. Bad things happen to us to test our faith and resilliance.

All we can know is that God has a reason for everything. I don't know your friend's name but I will include her in my prayers. God will know who she is.
