In media vita.– No, life has not disappointed me. On the contrary, I find it truer, more desirable and mysterious every year–ever since the day when the great liberator came to me: the idea that life could be an experiment of the seeker for knowledge–and not a duty, not a calamity, not trickery. –And knoweldge itself: let it be something else for others; for example, a bed to rest on, or the way to such a bed, or a diversion, or a form of leisure–for me it is a world of dangers and victories in which heroic feelings, too, find places to dance and play. “Life as a means to knowledge“–with this principle in one’s heart one can live not only boldly but even gaily, and laugh gaily, too. And who knows how to laugh anyway and live well if he does not first know a good deal about war and victory?

The purpose of my life is the same as the purpose of all humans, animals and plants. The purpose of life is to live it.

In this wicked world, it's to preach and teach the good news of the Kingdom and to keep God's commandments.
Mat 28:18 And Jesus came to them and spake unto them, saying, All authority hath been given unto me in heaven and on earth.
Mat 28:19 Go ye therefore, and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them into the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit:
Mat 28:20 teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I commanded you: and lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world.
EC 12:13 This is the end of the matter; all hath been heard: fear God, and keep his commandments; for this is the whole duty of man.
My purpose in life this side of paradise is no different than any other true christian.

The purpose of your life is what you want it to be! I can be anything I want to be and so can you. Its all about finding out what is right for you and what you love doing and being.

I don't think I know, for we make our own purpose in life. Mine is to be a great dad to my children, give them all the love in the world, and end the reign of political power the cigarette companies hold (my grandma died of cancer, one of the only nice people in my extended family I ever met).

There is no purpose OF my life. Life has no purpose, other than what humans artifically place in it.
I have purpose IN my life though. Completely different.

Life in and of itself has no meaning. If you want to give your life meaning, pursue whatever you are passionate about.
The above is a badly paraphrased quote from Joseph Campbell.
