I'm a Black man and I've studied Judaism since I was in my teens. I was born a Bapist but now after (44 yrs. old) I feel I need more in my life as far as spirituality and I believe the Jewish faith is the answer. Where I live there aren't too many Jews and I'm not sure how they would react to a Black man converting. But I know this is somehting I want to do. Does anyone know how I would go about the conversion process and if so where? Thanks

I did that, once, and ended up in the hospital.
Why couldn't the Bible have been written straight forward, easy to understand. What's with all the riddles (parables?). Isn't the Bible supposed to be a type of "instruction manual" on life? If so, then what's with all the secrecy?
Just imagine where we'd be if all our electronics manuals were written like the Bible; not very far, but I suppose that's the problem, isn't it?

and my sins are my own fault... then how come people born in ghettos commit more crime than rich folk? Could it be there's more than free will to this thing, and that not "finding" a particular God could be centered in the society? I.E. There are not that many Christians in India or Japan. So how can god send them to hell if their choice of religion is based on a difference of society, and not directed by "free will?" Most people just accept their religions at birth...like the billions of Hindus in India and the billions of Christians in Europe. How can any God blame someone for being born into the "wrong" society.

Oh I know, the devil.

handle people at work or home that are trying to get you upset, but you want to remain calm? Of course I know praying but if you a situation is about to turn into an argument or hurt, what do you do as a christian? And I know we are not perfect and we are going to do some things aren't right, but just in general since we have to deal w/ the devil everyday?

There is no commonly agreed staute of limitations on murder.

How about massacre of Indians? Or, mass murder conducted and bringing diseases? Massive illegal immigration? Enslavement of Africans? The sins of the European via colonialism are the platinum standard for horrors of all time. Is there anything they can do or are they rightly despized and condemned to living "hell"?

Should everyone on earth who is not clearly European or has less than 1/8th blood entangled in Judeo-Christian Europe be free to kill roughly 10 such Europeans (more than 1/8th and of any age or sex) as payment for the (past) mass murders by Europeans? These would be people who, were it not for the crimes, would not have lived? The proposal beckons consideration. Time to pay the piper.

I know that Cain and Belial are not the names of the actual demons but rather just those who the demons possesd. I have watched the movie several times and researched the names of those who were possessed. (It's actually some very interesting story!) But I can not find, anywhere, the identification of the actual demons who were possessing the persons.

Let me get this straight, according to Christians, we were made in Gods image.

And given free will.

Logically, this means God is stupid.

If God walked down here in the flesh (not a vision, not a sign, but in a body that is clearly God) and told me not to do something (and this was documented, not a hallucination) I wouldn't do it. I'd obey what was obviously God. Yet Eve used free will and disobeyed. Making her very stupid. Why would God create such a dumb pair in his image? Only an idiot wouldn;t obey God if he actually came down to earth. And you can't say eve wasn't made in Gods image, because then why did God punish man as well as women. The one made in Gods image (Adam) must have been dmb to be convinced by a talking snake as opposed to God. So, is God dumb, or is free willl a bad excuse? I bet this will be censored.

CAUSE YOU CAN"T HANDLE THE TRUTH!

Mathew 5:17 states that he did not come to abolish the law well if you keep reading in chapter 6 he explains what he means by this. The central point is this Mathew 7:12 Do for others what you would like them to do for you. This is a summary of all that is taught in the law and the prophets.

I have a friend who is married to a pastor for 32 years. They have a seemingly perfect relationship. He is and always has been a pastor. They are very strictly religous. Do not believe in divorce what so ever. He the pastor, verbally and possibly physically abusses his wife and has done so for many years. She is to the point of cutting herself off to the outside world. She wants conseling he refuses because he could loose his job if any one found out. She stays only because she does not believe in divorce. She will not leave no matter what. She just seems so unhappy. Can any one offer any advice from a relious prospective that could convince her to leave him.
