He is both...It's somewhat hard to explain and even harder to grasp... It's called the Holy Trinity... God, three in one. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. I have best heard it explained as an egg... you have the white, yoke, and shell...each distinct, seperate, but one egg!
Hope it helps!

If you want to be technical, yes Jesus is the son of God. Because God impegnated Mary. But there is also the Trinity, or the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit. So God and Jesus are like one being.

God has many names: I AM, Jehovah, Ancient of Days, Son of God, Counselor, Saviour, The Way, The Vine, The Light, Holy Spirit, etc. Jesus is God in the Flesh. Remember in the beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and the Word was God. The Word was manifested in the Flesh. Jesus is the Word. All point to the one true God.

A subject that takes much study of God's Word to understand, that's the reason for answers that are "all over the place". What I believe from my studies is: Jesus (Yeshua) has existed always as a part of 1 God who exists in 3 parts. If you look at the very beginning of the Bible in Genesis, Chapter 1 verse 1, "In the beginning God created the heavens and the earth. The word God in the original Hebrew is "Elohim" which is "God" plural. A little later Chapter 1 verse 26 it says "Then God said, Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness..."
That part of God we call Jesus, became fully man while at the same time remaining fully God. As fully man He was the Son of God. And as still fully God, He is God. He became man so that He could die for our sins, a perfect sacrifice, so that we who accept Him as Savior will live with Him forever.
Whew, I know how that sounds... I wish I could sit here and type for a few hours and try to explain it. My suggestion is that you get a Bible in a modern translation and start reading. Find a church that teaches and not just preaches. Trust me, once you get into it, it is glorious and fascinating and hard to stop! It has completely changed my life!

Well, I believe that Jesus is the Son of God, but He and God are "one" according to the Trinity as follows; The Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit.

Both Jesus is seperate yet not seperate. In the Doctrine of the Trinity it states that the Father, The Son, and The Holy Spirit are all one in the same. See it states Jesus as the Son, as an individual but not in a sense.

Jesus was with God the Father from the beginning of time. Together they created the world, and also, the Holy Spirit was there. So Jesus definitely is God. Jesus came to this world as a man to help us understand God. It makes it much easier for us to identify with a man than with some entity we can't see or touch. If you lived in Jesus day, you could have seen Him and touched Him. He is the way to the Father. So Jesus is God, the second person of the Trinity, and He was man, being born into this world as flesh.

have you ever heard of the Trinity? God the Father, God the Son and God the Holy Spirit make up God.
so technically both are correct, just if you say Jesus isn't God, than you're incorrect. Jesus was God's physical son, as God the Father created a genetic counterpart to form a Zygote in Mary, the Holy Spirit gave the forming child a spirit, and Jesus was the soul: God's soul. They also have qualities that pretain to their titles, as God the Father is Authoritarian and creates, the Son was obedient as a man and was human, and the Holy Spirit gives spirit and life, as well as fulfills other roles.

I am of The True Christian Faith...All who come to God in The way He prescribes receive His free gift of Salvation. These become part of The Body of The Church of which Jesus The Christ is The Head. Those are the ones of The True Christian Faith... God is not interested in man's "denominations'... Only those of The Church will enter Heaven....
Jesus, when He walked this earth around 2000yrs ago, was both Fully God and fully man... this is very difficult for most to comprehend... but it is The Truth...and would take more space than YA to discuss properly.... There are many of The True Christian Faith spread throughout the many "denominations" around... and even among those of The True Faith there are debates over variouse issues of The Faith... But... There is only ONE WAY to God... The Truth, The Way, The Life.
I accept email questions concerning the basics of The True Christian Faith... one honest question will receive one honest answer to the best of my ability... I do not know it all and will not prtend to... and no one else dose either... but I try.. as all of The Faith must... do do my best.

If you are a Christian you believe that Jesus is the son of God. However, there is the Trinity. God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. They are three, but one. The main thing about religion is it is accepted by faith. You can not prove or disprove someones religion. We can't go to heaven or hell, and then return to say it is true, or not true.

...He is God in the flesh - He is also called the Son of God, but understand that God can only beget God. He is part of the Holy Trinity, the Triune God.
...Here are some references:
...Isaiah 9:6 "For unto us a child is born, unto us a son is given: and the government shall be upon his shoulder: and his name shall be called Wonderful, Counsellor, The mighty God, The everlasting Father, The Prince of Peace."
...John 5:18 "For this reason the Jews tried all the harder to kill him; not only was he breaking the Sabbath, but he was even calling God his own Father, making himself equal with God."
...Hebrews 1:8 "But of the Son He says, "Thy throne, O God, is forever and ever, and the righteous scepter is the scepter of His kingdom."
...John 14:8-9 Philip said, "Lord, show us the Father and that will be enough for us."
…9 Jesus answered: "Don't you know me, Philip, even after I have been among you such a long time? Anyone who has seen me has seen the Father. How can you say, 'Show us the Father'? “
...John 10:30 "I and the Father are one."
...John 1:1,14,17 "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. 2 He was with God in the beginning."
…14 The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us. We have seen his glory, the glory of the One and Only, who came from the Father, full of grace and truth.
…17 For the law was given through Moses; grace and truth came through Jesus Christ.
