I hear it everywhere from you people, "If you don't convert you will burn in Hell for eternity! So you better convert if you don't want to burn in Hell!" Really now, isn't it getting a little old, not to mention childish?

Do you believe that society, humanity, would be more enlightened without religion attempting to resist what needs to be done? For example, stem cell research, cloning, and other medical fields that use human cells to try and cure horrible diseases are overly moderated because of religious organizations placing politians under pressure.

I, personally, would rather suffer through the inevitable problems with cloning humans to help those dying than do without just to walk on eggshells for people.

Opinions?

He's God's Son. He's the sinner's Saviour. He's the centerpiece of civilisation. He stands alone in Himself. He's honest. He's unique. He's unparalleled. He's unprecedented. He's supreme. He's pre-eminent. He's the grandest idea in literature. He's the highest personality in philosophy. He's the supreme problem in higher criticism. He's the fundamental doctrine of historic theology. He's the carnal necessity of spiritual religion. That's my King.

Yes! It's true. I worked side by side with him 5 days a week. He is Dutch, and we disagreed about everything!
My point in asking this question is this...I love that guy! He was the best boss I ever had. I still drop by for a visit from time to time. When I drop in he gets a big smile....he doesn't care what I believe in.
If we had a discussion about beliefs, it didn't turn into a hate session. We agreed to disagree. Why all the mocking on here?

promise of heaven, idea of an all-loving god, eternal life, etc....

sure, atheists and/or evolutionists believe in no god and the idea of evolution and those can be said as 'unprovable'....but the difference is...WE DONT DEVOTE OUR WHOLE LIVES TO IT. WE DONT GO TO CHURCH AND PRAY TO AN IMAGINARY THING. WE DONT WORSHIP A MADE UP THING THAT PROMISES FALSE LOVE SECURITY FOR THE HOPE OF ETERNAL LIFE.

christians are delusional. thinking their beliefs as FACT. and taking it as far as devoting their whole lives to that delusion.

Executives: President and Governors – Ornamental & expensive posts chosen under political, communal and minority compulsions with limitations to act or act to serve their God-fathers’ interests.

Policing! Impotent, biased and brutal without directions or directions only to echo their 'Masters' Voice'.

Judiciary: Proved corrupt at times, less alert and known for inaction. When it acts it is only on registration of complaints by the authority with its own axe to grind. Seldom, they act suo motu. Close their eyes on violation of even the preamble of the constitution - equal opportunities and the development of scientific temper. Still among the best of three pillars.

Legislatures: Pulled in opposite directions it serves communal and regional interests. Legislatures are known for indiscipline and are no role models for citizens to follow. Don’t you see the Presiding Officers helplessly observing the pandemonium created by its members on silly issues. Differ on exceptions?

Just like in the jungle, the alpha male might not be able to take on the challenger one on one, but he might have enough allies to fight the challenger off.

Here in the yahoo universe strength of self might not matter due to system limitations,

but strength in numbers might be leveraged to use the system to our advantadge.

Since this guy hates me most, and I'm mayor just cause I know so many of you, I ask for your support.

She was being blasted and made fun of for her Mormonism, yet when she shot back her "that's so gay" remark to 3 boys, she was chastised by school officials, for "hate speech"?

Look on the front page of MSN for the full story) ...i'm too lazy to post it,

Anyway, I think this is BS! CLEARLY, you are only pinpointed when you have a certain conservative or religious beliefs, even if the comment was not meant to be anything about gays, but just a very popular saying in the youth culture.

I'm an atheist, and I hate the g-ddamned thought police liberals.
What say you?

Is the Bible a buffet of Commandments and laws that can be read in a literal way without regard to the core beliefs of Christainity, For Example, Thou Shalt not Kill! I see nothing about that amendment that could be anything but crystal clear.
Don't Kill, PERIOD!
What do Presidents, parents, police officers, Soldiers say and believe that makes it Ok to kill other people? What do citizens say to themselves that motivates them to vote for War when and were many people are murdered? Based on What? It is not self-defense in Iraq for the ones home and buying TV's at the Maul.
Just what is it in Human Nature that can make us be devote and humble on Sunday, but cold blooded on Monday? After all, we know the the Death Penality does not detier Murder. In fact the death penality is murder.
We humans have been murdering each other as far back as our histroy will take us, Why do we consider murder and killing ok under some circumstances? We do justify murder in self-defensive not fear alone.
