Honestly, which world is a bigger mess?

Equally messy in different ways... the mess comes from people's nasty hearts and minds.
Communists,Communist China and USSR - religion was banned or disallowed... Messy messy messy
Countries WITH religions - ALSO messy messy messy...

Since most of the world's problems are being caused by religion, I would have to say that the bigger mess is the world WITH religion...of any kind! We do not need a silly superstitious religion to live good lives filled with love.

Probably going to offend with this but it is religion that causes most of the biggest problems (ie wars) in this world. If there was no religion people wouldn't clash as much and things like world war 2, this "war on terrorism" and the IRA could all have been avoided.
So in answer to your question, this world is a bigger mess.

But can there be a world without religion? Religion is a direct result of people needing some explanation for being alive. Even in a world devoid of our religions (as we know them: christianity, hinduism, etc.), the people would still have a belief structure. It is the ultimate security blanket.

The one without religion...because if there is no religion... there wouldn't be morals.. .with no morals, everybody would fend for themselves-not caring about the others... it would be a fight for survival than actually living life. We would barely be above the animals in this world (except for some minor things)
