Unceremoniously lump all religions ever together and encompass the entire span of human history with your mind's eye.

Good thing or bad thing?

Instead of listening to hearsay, why don't you stop and consider these things for a few moments.

You are here, living on earth - right?
Look at your hands, your face (in a mirror) your feet.
Think about everything you are!
You have identity, even identical twins have presence to know they are two individuals exactly alike, but even subtly they are different as well.
So, you have presence of mind - you can think - react -
yet, there is something that is more important that all of this -
that's time and space - you live right now.
Can you accept that, as random or design created for a purpose by a God who loves you, or by static elements that gives no purpose, no hope, nothing to why you are unique.

Personality is dual. It is encoded in your genetic structure before you were born and it is something you experience.

Well yes...there is a God, and Yes, there are billions of people who have believed in God. The evidence that I could give you is that you are the evidence.

I'm sure it's safe to generalize all of you weren't born an atheist......if you were then I'm not really talking about you.

Anyways, I'm sure you have your own set of morals and ethics, so,
do you or do you not think the newborns in a society with no religion would be the same as you?

Can someone born into a society understand your concept why they shouldn't have a God while they don't really know what God is in the first place?

Do you think Atheism should remain a personal choice or should you encourage it to others.....just like any other religion that's looking for converts?

Would there still be war in this world if it was without a religion?

- Communism believes that everyone is equal. Capitalism's human equality is largely influenced by money.

2- Jesus disliked very much the tax collectors because they were money-driven and money-hungry (Matthew 5:46, 9:10, and Luke 3:11-13).

3- Jesus disliked the rich people and promised that only few of them will make it to Heaven (Matthew 19:23-26).

4- Jesus in points 2 and 3 clearly disliked the "Capitalist" people. He clearly disliked Capitalism, because this system is all about money. Human value is precisely determined by the amount of money the person has.

Therefore, I believe that Jesus' materialistic or capitalistic views were much closer to Communism.

I've always wondered what pushes someone to choose a radically different faith or choose atheism/ agnosticism when they were firm believers in something else as a child or when younger?

Is it a maturity thing, a rebellion from mom and dad, or something struggled with throughout and entire life, and then admitted in adulthood? Your thoughts?

"Do you see dead people?"
If so, have you considered Schizophrenia? I guess this has nothing to do with atheists, oh well.

based on their preferences, like how I prefer tan blonde women? Or are they just born gay and cannot help themselves, like how some scientists have tried to find the "gay gene"? If scientists could find the gay gene that causes people to be this way in the future and your child was disagnosed as being gay before birth, would you have the doctor change this affliction if you could? Or just let the cards fall where they may?

So, to what percentage do you think you are adhered to refrain those kinds? and What kind do you find it hardest to refrain? and why?

I have heard that pre- Christ the Devil did not exist and that he was based on a misinterpritation of the earlier scriptures by later christian writer. For example - that it never says that the Eden Serpent IS the Devil and that the Lucifer fallen angel is a mix up of the legend of Azazel in Hebrew mythology. Do any JEWISH folks out there know anything about this?

I'm asking questions because I honestly want to know what folks are thinking from an atheist perspective. I'm not trying to corner or demean anyone. I noticed lots of atheist challenges to my faith, so I wanted to learn more about their perspective.

Is this an acceptable approach for the folks with an atheistic bent?
