Praise be to Allah.

Read this article about kinds of speech that muslims must refrain from.
http://www.islam-qa.com/index.php?ref=9410&ln=eng

So, to what percentage do you think you are adhered to refrain those kinds? and What kind do you find it hardest to refrain? and why?
I just want to exchange thoughts, no more.

"Al-Nawawi (may Allaah have mercy on him) said: “If he wants to speak, then if what he wants to say is good and he is confident that he will be rewarded for it, whether it is obligatory or praiseworthy, then let him speak, but if it does not seem to him that it is good and he will be rewarded for it, then let him refrain from speaking, whether he thinks it is haraam or makrooh or permissible."

i totally agree with that.of course,if you don't sure about something,it's better just keep quiet rather than make own statement.i personally think,if you doubt on something,it's okay ask someone else.just remember to don't make own statement base on doubtful fact.

I am trying to refrain from swearing and I sometimes criticize some of the Prophets like Jonah(PBUH*) for getting eaten by the whale. Though it's hard to do living in USA and seeing bad women on television.

May the peace, blessing and mercy of Allah be upon you

Yes, I try my best not say bad things, even to those who are astray, and say false things about us. I just show them the proof, and go on to the next question. We must be patient.

I always remember this verse for those who are ignorant,

[010:041] And if they deny you, say: "For me are my deeds and for you are your deeds! You are innocent of what I do, and I am innocent of what you do!"

Thanks for that good read.

All praise and thanks are for God alone, and he is the greatest.
Peace Be With You
