"Do you see dead people?"
If so, have you considered Schizophrenia? I guess this has nothing to do with atheists, oh well.

Meant for people who have "visions of God." Pangel you're cool, not dissing you.

Dang it pangel no I didn't. I meant the people with visions. That's what the q was about. The quote was a failed attempt at humor. :) Please don't think I meant you.

Actually, I may have.

After being hypnotized and having an intensely interesting experience, I did find that I was experiencing some paranormal events (seeing things that others didn't, being able to "communicate" with a spirit I sensed).

Naturally, I did worry that this was a sign of mental illness of schizophrenia. However, a doctor assured me it wasn't because
1) I was able to turn it off, so it wasn't out of control or bothering me.
2) I was still able to function in the world as well as I had before.

Now, whether these were actual beings I was seeing and communicating with, or simply a manifestation of my imagination, or some other entirely different explanation, I don't know. But the point is, just because someone has seemingly paranormal experiences, it doesn't necessarily follow that they are insane, from a medical standpoint.

There should be a section for rude, ignoramous questions of which section this question belongs. If there was such a section one could bypass it and not run into this type of garbage.
