- Communism believes that everyone is equal. Capitalism's human equality is largely influenced by money.

2- Jesus disliked very much the tax collectors because they were money-driven and money-hungry (Matthew 5:46, 9:10, and Luke 3:11-13).

3- Jesus disliked the rich people and promised that only few of them will make it to Heaven (Matthew 19:23-26).

4- Jesus in points 2 and 3 clearly disliked the "Capitalist" people. He clearly disliked Capitalism, because this system is all about money. Human value is precisely determined by the amount of money the person has.

Therefore, I believe that Jesus' materialistic or capitalistic views were much closer to Communism.

there is a lot more to communism then just equality among people and a lot more to capitalism then the amount of money that someone has. "We hold these truths to be self-evident that all men are created equal...." That is in the Declaration of Independence yet the Colonists were not communists.

How the heck do you interpret the Bible? There is nothing in there that suggets that he was a Communist. Jesus loved (and still loves) all people, even the tax collectors; he did invite Matthew the Levite - a TAX COLLECTOR - to follow him and be one of his desciples. He never said rich poeple won't make it to Heaven, just that it's hard to get into Heaven if you are rich. What he meant was that it's hard for us humans to let go of money or riches (and the Bible tells us to "lay up our treasures in Heaven"), and he also tells us we shouldn't set our sight on these worldly things; most people would rather do that than look at Jesus, and you can't get into Heaven without Jesus. Besides, God could not have a Communist son, as you are saying He did. He is perfect, and very pleased with His son (the Bible even says so; you really should read it. You imply that you do, but you're not seeing things right).

1. Communism believes that everyone is equal. Jesus knew that only God was worthy, the rest of us can never equal Him.

2. Jesus did not dislike the tax collectors, He disliked their sin.

3. Again, Jesus does not dislike rich people, He just said it's harder for them to enter Heaven because they cannot let go of their wealth.

4. Jesus in points 2 and 3 clearly demonstrated that money is not the goal, but eternal treasures in Heaven are.

Therefore, I believe that you seriously do not understand Jesus message, and should review what He said before making such a ridiculous comment.

Because some christians might ACTUALLY know what communism was. Also they may have read New Testament.

Communism involves FORCE. Talks about politics and what the government should DO. The FORCE aspect makes it different from socialism, a distinction many Americans miss btw.

Jesus talked about INDIVIDUAL spirituality. He begged people to look after the poor as INDIVIDUALS, he did not talk about the government.

Also, Jesus was very strongly into God. Marxism/Communism is atheist. Worshiping the "one true" God over all else is an issue.

From Jesus point of view, I believe the Communist and the Capticalist both going down, just for different reasons.

Well after the second world war, communism was seen as an enemy and an "atheist philosophy." So it was demonized and everybody who wasn't part of the church's movements towards taking over the country (christians openly declared war on America and its courts) were labeled communist evildoers.

If there's anything the church excels in it's propaganda and distortion, they were exceedingly efficient at making communists look evil, immoral, terrible, animal rapers, etc. without even reconciling the fact that Jesus's teachings are, in many instances, pro-communism.

Most of that instilled feeling still lingers. Communism is completely disparaged and people balk at the idea that Jesus had some communist leanings. It's like the other things with a bad name now - people also deny that Jesus was racist, or pro-slavery (even though he was evidently both in the bible).

here is the problem with your agurment

1) Jesus was intriested in the eternal not the so much the physical, as such his kingdom was about people and not their place in society.

2) Jesus did not hate the tax colectors because they were tax collectors but because those particular ones had turned what was holy(the temple) into just another place to make a buck. But he was often seen with tax collectors and such because they were the lowly of the jewish society and were more aware of their need for some one other than themself (or any other human) to save them from their spirtual delima (hell). so it was not the tax collectors that Jesus hated it was their greed and sin that he hated.

3) The reason that Jesus gave for the small number of rich people entering heaven was that basicly they don't see their need for a savior because they have always done just fine on their own. So the amount of money they have is not the issue, the issue is where is their faith in the things of the world or in God. theirs was in the things of this world.

4) so jesus has no problem with money or stuff, if it does not get in the way or become an idole. but then we have that problem with lots of things besides money, like people, power, position, friends and so on. to say that Jesus hates money and capitalism would mean that you also have to say that he hates people and friends and power and many other things whic his not the case. what Jesus hates is when anything takes his place as top priority in our lives other than Himself.

Jesus spoke against the tax collectors because they collected more than their due, which is stealing, a violation to the 8th commandment. If you say Jesus was a communist because he disliked what the tax collectors did, then that means everyone besides the tax collectors of that time was a Commie. Which is quite a silly accusation.

Actually, Jesus was not a politician. I have heard people suggest that Jesus supported capitalism because of his parable of the talents. Hogwash!
He was neither a communist nor a capitalist. Both systems are without a soul. One is for the good of the impersonal state; the other is for the good of the person who can make most money.
Jesus would have surely approved of some socialist ideas, and perhpas of some more conservative ideas. My Christian conscience pushes me to vote for a socialist party these days, not because I think that party is great, but because I believe the social justice conscience of our political parties needs to be awakened.

Could one have been a Christian before Christ was born? No. Besides addressing the fallacy of your arguments, the premise of stating that Jesus was a member of a political faction that did not exist during his time is false.
If that is what you believe, then fine. If your goal is to create discussion or stir up controversy, why not take it a step further? The Nazi's wanted to kill every inferior and immoral Jew to eradicate the evil and lies that they have brought into the world. God wanted to wipe evil off the face of the Earth during the Great Flood.
Why do Christians then deny that God was a Nazi?

Because the fictional character of Jesus was written about long before Karl Marx wrote his communist manifesto. How could the character of Jesus be considered a communist when communism hadn't even been thought of yet?
