Huge difference here.
Jehovah had a purpose when he destroyed those city's.
Many were forewarned with plenty of advance notice and were given the opportunity to change or suffer annihilation.
Jehovah name was not sanctified at 9/11 and therefore can not be held accountable for it.

It's hard to grasp, but God's ways are not our ways.
Often times I wonder where He is, but I know that He is always in control.
I cannot understand all He allows, or why. And many ministers and others have put forth all kinds of reasons, but usually it begins to sound like they don't have a clue either.

God does not interfere with the choices made by men. He allows them to play their silly little games until he gets tired of it...then bang. Eternity is here. i.e. the flood, the destruction of Sodom and Ghemorah and finally the tribulation and judgement.

Maybe he let it happen as a wake up call. Your question references God, therefore there has to be a belief in him.

Maybe his interference was the fact that only 3000 people died and not 50,000. It was a tragedy, but they happen as a result of sin being in the world.
