I hear it everywhere from you people, "If you don't convert you will burn in Hell for eternity! So you better convert if you don't want to burn in Hell!" Really now, isn't it getting a little old, not to mention childish?

Christ spoke about Hell more than most other subjects.
He did it in a loving way though.Sometimes an over zealous Christian pushes too much.
The fact is, there is a Hell. Scare tactic? Maybe how some put it across. Is it reality? Yes. And so, we warn.
But there's so much more than that...the closer one follows Jesus, the better life becomes. In the here and now.
There are insights to be gained, and we are spared so many griefs when we follow and obey.
Ever see someone that trouble seems to follow?
Christ can get you to see the trouble from far ahead, and gives you the understanding to avoid it.
We live what I believe to be a more filling, satisfying life now, and later, we'll live eternally in Heaven with Him.
I wasn't always a believer. I tasted from both ways of life, and I can tell you that living for Christ is far better.

You must hang around some really weird people that you hear it all the time. I'm a Christian and hang around other Christians and never heard one of them say that to anyone. Course, though, if you are not a believer and don't believe in hell, what's the diff? Why be scared?

I'm a Christian and I don't use scare tactics.

Most people are moved to conversion by the love of God. Though some are saved through fear. It is best to be saved by the love of God.

I have a hard time thinking Christians always say "You are going to burn in hell if you don't convert!" to save people. If they say anything like that it is usually a fleshly way to defend themselves. Because someone is verbally rejecting them.

So? You are exaggerating & that makes you a liar.

I can honestly say a Christian has never scared me with a threat to condemn me to hell. I find it amusing and count it as a trophy. People who are frightened by the silly threats of Christians deserve no more than to be Christians. I don't concern myself with the silly threats of Christians in the least. Oops what was that? I'm going to Hell? No pleaseeeeeeeeeeee.

In my opinion, it's wrong that any christian accuse people of going to hell to get them to convert, but not all christians do that. it's just that some christians decide to be more straight foward with the truth.

I never have.

A lot of you folks are pretty upset. Kind of surprising - not really a Q&A here half the time, just a forum to insult someones faith.

I guess that's cool, worse things happen all the time, but it really isn't Q&A, it's more just statements and derission.

I don't think that is true. One of the main and popular verse is John 3:16 "For God so love the world that He gave His only Son that whosoever believes in Him should not perish but have eternal life." The smallest child can quote that scripture.

It is the truth. God has never wavered. I think that some people tend to beat people up over it which is stupid. I f someone asks, I tell them and then I let it drop. It is not up to me to force anything on anyone. I am to plant the seed and let it grow.
