Snowflake: You are missing the point. Why do you use evidence at all if you are supposed to believe based on faith?

If it's ok to have evidence support your faith, then why would it be bad for God to give us LOTS of evidence?

I don't know if you've noticed this, but they have a tendency of contradicting themselves.

I guess they like it.

As a Christian, I would not say that I would consider the Bible as evidence of God's existance or even of Christ's divinity. Instead, I see it as a tool from which we can learn about what God wants from us and what we can expect from him.

The evidence for God's existance comes when you have the Holy Spirit coming to live within you. I believe that people if open to God will be called. When that happens, you have no doubts that He is there. His existance is also evident when you look at yourself in the mirror. Do you really believe that you are a simple accident of fate? Should you have been born a ant instead, or perhaps a mouse or a chicken? You are who you are because of Him.

Do you have hope for anything tomorrow or in any amount of time in the future? What's your evidence that it will happen? Better yet what makes you think you'll live to see tomorrow, let alone any time in the future? Hope is kind of like faith. At least with faith Christians have something to go by as a guide, strengthener, encourager, and truth.

Treat it like a courtroom case. The Bible is evidence, and Jesus(along with Christians) are like the prosecuting attorney convicting the world of sin. The Bible isnt proof positive because in that case then anybody who examined the Bible would conclude that the defendent is guilty. However, it is strong evidence showing every facet of the prosecutions case.

You are the jury. You decide? (only difference is if youre wrong there are consequences)

faith is depending on the failings heard. (Romans 10:17) Scriptures show a plethora of historic info as a foundation for idea. The thousands if no longer thousands of thousands (Hindus) of gods defined by historic Religions are all created photos made by guy's own hands and mind's eye. virtually all of them are not to any extent further some more thing suitable than carved statues of a few thing earthly with a contact of creativity. My moms and dads taught me about a God that has printed himself by historic past no longer by statues or mere illusions yet demonstrating that the failings written are very sturdy and genuine.

The Bible has all the answers for how to get and use faith .and to live by his laws.In Romans 10:17 states "Faith commeth by hearing, hearing by the word of God ". If you never hear the word of God ,you will never have faith. That is why christians have to spread and try to do his will.

All faith is rooted in something. Just as a credit report tells a lender to have faith in your ability to repay. Biblical accounts that happened to others in the past builds faith that this too can happen to/for you.

We all exercise faith everyday based on past experiences. Drivers have faith that when they hit the break peddle, their car will stop. Based on experiences this is 99.9999% true every time. I have faith that God can raise me from the dead. This is based on biblical accounts.

Faith is the substance of things hoped for (heaven), and the evidence (bible ) of things we have not seen- get it? You have to by faith believe what you have read because you have not seen it.

We need accurate knowledge of the word of God and what he wants from us. There is plenty of evidence. We need faith so as not to let people like you lead us astray.

Why not? It's their choice, their lives. Afterall we all base our faiths on some kind of evidence. If you believe in science you have textbooks etc... Faith doesn't require the evidence, but it can be strengthened by it.

Isn't the Bible also the evidence of faith.
