They get so mad when they hear "there is no god" after they post a question. They don't even want to hear anyone else's opinion and take it into any type of consideration. I think atheists are just trying to make them open their mind and think. In reality there is opposition, we do not live in a perfect world full of peaches, like their so called heaven. Why are they so arrogant to think they will live forever in a perfect heaven, are they scared of not existing? or are they just brainwashed idiots? There is only one truth, impermanence. And that disproves their heaven.
They can't comprehend that because it goes against everything they have been led to believe and then they won't have all the "answers" that will help them fall asleep at night

About six months ago, a gentleman named Akbar moved next door with his wife and children. Obviously, with his name, I was petrified. After everything that has happened in Madrid, NY and London, I was scared for my family.

So I would not allow my children to be outside without my direct supervision, and often I would end up walking the long way to my car just to not walk by Akbar's place.

Last Monday, he was walking down the sidewalk and caught up to me when I started running. Guess what? It turns out he is a Mormon!!!!! Crazy!

I was so relieved. I seriously thought my family was in serious jeopardy! Now I have a new best friend! I've introduced him into my country club, and have given him a key to our house in case of an emergency. It's also good to have some help in the babysitting department when me and the little woman go to church.

I'm just telling you this story to let you know they aren't all bad.

I don't see why anyone would believe something as fictitious as the stories in the bible

First, Atheists,

Why bother demanding proof of the existence of God? The concept of God is that He is pretty much illogical. Nothing in creation could poof anything suddenly. For people who believes in God, God is all powerful and he made logic and set up the rules,

so how can you ask for proof of something illogical?

Next, Theists.

Why bother arguing with an Atheist? Believing in God is about faith, we have faith and they don't, it's fine. It's their personal choice, their point of view, their opinion. I doubt they would believe in God even after God Himself appear in front of them, probably they'll see a psychiatrist first before believing in Him. Someday they may see the way we see it, maybe they won't, it's all up to God.

So why bother proving your shirt is red to a blind man?

So theists and atheists, here's the question.

Instead of arguing and bickering, why don't both sides work together to progress?

SPECIFICALLY THESE VERSES:

"I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me." -Jesus, John 14:6

"He that believeth (in Jesus) and is baptized shall be saved; but he that believeth not shall be damned." -Mark 16:16

These passages say Jesus is the ONLY way, & those who don't believe will go to hell. So basically, it's saying Jesus is the ONE way to heaven, & that all other ways lead to hell. These are very strong statements that do not acknoweldge salvation by way of any other path except through Jesus alone; they're pretty blunt ways of saying Jesus is the 'one way', & does not acknoweldge salvation any other way.

Also, the NT specifically adressed the topic of Pagan gods, saying: 1 Cor 10:20 No, but the sacrifices of pagans are offered to demons, not to God, and I do not want you to be participants with demons. 1 Cor 12:2 You know that when you were pagans, somehow or other you were influenced and led astay to mute idols.

Are these verses bigoted?

I have been studying a lot of religions and I like Buddhism the best so far. I was raised in a Christian area and everyone says I will go to Hell if I choose Buddhism.

After much prayer and seeking and scripture reading, I have absolutely no desire to become a Christian. Am I to understand that God wants me to become a Christian even against my better judgment? That just does not sound right at all!

I simply do not find it logical to believe the things Christianity says I must believe!

techincally, in order for something to be science, it has to be measurable and repeatable. Nobody can measure or repeat creation but we teach it as religion and we dont talk about it in public schools however evolution cannot be measured or repeated yet we teach it as science. Shouldnt we teach both as religion and shouldnt we teach both in public schools as equally possible instead of pretty much forcing the children to accept evolution? what do you think?

God is able, He is able to give us joy in the middle of the night when things aren't going are way. He's able to help us when we are down. He said He would help us. Now how many believe He will? At first when we try to witness it may seem like no one is listening but God usually has at leats one person out there that He is dealing with and is speaking to them when you feel no one is listening.

These are the last days! We need to stand for God and not let anyone tell us we're wrong. We shall never back down!

"If God is for us then who can be against us?"

He has saved me a brought me from a lot. And it's the least that I can do when I give my life to serve Him. Who's with me? Who will stand in the face of the opressors and say

"We will not back down!"

He has been so good and this is the least we can do.....

One final question:

If you were not what you are, what would you want to be?

Answer in any sense you wish:
religiously, spiritually, professionally, whimsically...

Peace and cookies. :)

If god is willing but not able to prevent evil, then he is incompetent. If god is able but not willing to prevent evil, then he is malevolent. If god is able and willing to prevent evil, then why does evil exist?

Main question:

If god is neither able nor willing to prevent evil, then why do we call him god?
