The "Christian knights" not only invaded the Muslim cities- they RANSACKED it. Children were old as slaves or killed, and women could barely escape the fate of being raped, then killed.

****Many of the crusaders stole material possessions as they ransacked the cities. This is clearly immoral!

A provacative question, perhaps, but... how many atheists or agnostics (or some other person who believes in something else) do you know personally - how many of these people would you send to hell?

I was (I was raised Methodist). I went to church nearly every week, and I still remember the British pastor's succinct accent....lol...

Basically, my point is this: YOU CAN NOT JUST ASSUME THAT AN ATHEIST HAS NOT READ THE BIBLE. I read it and left the church because of some of the archaic information it is filled with

but in my observation the ones who judge it are the ones who are close-minded and listen to whoever they get their anti-catholic ranting lessons from. My question is to the anti-catholics have you ever read a book explaining what catholic doctrine actually is before coming on here and saying stuff that is in no way correct to catholic belief?

I've been contemplating wearing some kind of head covering for the past 12-18 months. I'm a Baha'i, and in Baha'i scripture it says nothing about women having to veil. In fact, our scripture says:

"It hath been forbidden you to carry arms unless essential, and permitted you to attire yourselves in silk. The Lord hath relieved you, as a bounty on His part, of the restrictions that formerly applied to clothing and to the trim of the beard."

In Islam, the religion before the Baha'i Era began, women had to cover everything except for the face and hands. As Baha'i women, we no longer have to observe this restriction, so we do not have to wear the hijab. However, while veiling is not mandatory, I do agree with their argument in favor of it. I've finally come to a conclusion, and started veiling. I LOVE IT!

Are there any other non-Muslim women who veil themselves, and how did you come to this conclusion? Please share. :^)

Our ideas of what we consider right and wrong have been pretty much universally consistent throughout human history. Where did we get our ideas of morality if God didn't instill them in us from the beginning?

I have a question for an essay and i need help:

Societies that are struggling with national or cultural identities while, at the same time, becoming is filled with paradoxes, especially when one considers the roles of men and women. Discuss two or three of the following paradoxes in your paper.

-Maintaining pride (honor) in tradition while avoiding oppressions
-Being modern without completely losing tradition
-Being an individual while supporting the community values

Can you absolutely let go of your addiction to GOD? You condem my booze, cigarettes, drugs-and yet I see them as escapes from the way you are running the world into the ground by YOUR ADDICTION TO GOD! I can at least show you what my devices are, you can only TELL me what you have been told-I can quit mine, many have-BUT You wont quit until you die!

You ask a question about God, suddenly there's this atheist came and answer something along the line of "There is no God". Obviously the questioner is asking people about God, should be those who believes in God in the first place.

You ask a question about Islam, suddenly there's this joker who thinks he knows everything about Islam come and answers, even that he's not a muslim himself.

You ask someone to explain to you a Bible verse, because you don't understand it. Then people answer "You don't understand because you never read the bible fully" or "it's out of context", well I don't understand, that's why I asked in the first place, right? I don't suppose you too don't understand the verse.

So here's what I want to say to all the rude people out there:

No one asked you.

So... that's my question. Most Christians that I know are set in their ways and think that their way is the only way. For instance, most Christians do not accept gay people and are against gay marriges. Most of them are also not open minded and don't like to listen to other people's beliefs. They don't like to tolerate other religions, for instace buddhism. Back in the day, Roman Catholics used to take the lives away from people who did not agree with them or just practiced a different religion. Now, I am not saying that most Christians are like this today, but that's how they used to be. Isn't God supposed to be all about NOT killing people, but accepting people for who they are and forgiving them? I am not an atheist, so don't go calling me one. That's another thing, whenever I ask a question like this one i just posted, i always get people saying, "Don't post stupid questions like these, you atheist!" or some people just tell me how I'm going to hell and stuff...

Understand that legalistic religion is a ferocious enemy of the loving "life" quality of the kingdom of God. Understand that God's kingdom authority and the world's systems of authority are often opposites.
