You ask a question about God, suddenly there's this atheist came and answer something along the line of "There is no God". Obviously the questioner is asking people about God, should be those who believes in God in the first place.
You ask a question about Islam, suddenly there's this joker who thinks he knows everything about Islam come and answers, even that he's not a muslim himself.
You ask someone to explain to you a Bible verse, because you don't understand it. Then people answer "You don't understand because you never read the bible fully" or "it's out of context", well I don't understand, that's why I asked in the first place, right? I don't suppose you too don't understand the verse.
So here's what I want to say to all the rude people out there:
No one asked you.

Hey, I'm just saying it's rude. I'm not saying you can't do it, this is an open forum, I have the right to criticize :P

Good answer...what's the question? I'd be happy to answer any Bible questions you have.

What they are doing is rude, however after putting up with that so much we tend to become rude ourselves.
Many questions are asked by Atheists and some are asked to try to make Christians look foolish, or to trip them up with something they are not able to answer, so sometimes we do not take seriously those who seriously want a real answer.
I wish there was a way we knew for sure who is playing us and who is really interested in an answer. I usually give an answer, but I occasionally preface the answer with, 'I don't think you really want to know the answer'.
If I do that to you please forgive me.
It is no news to any of us that Atheists do not believe in God. After all that is what Atheism is about. What they love to do is slander people with words like 'stupid', and 'it's all a myth'. And they are definitely arrogant when they use these terms.

I love "out of context." Out of context has become synonymous with "I can't explain it."
I mean most of these people answer in 3 minutes, I doubt that they a) know the entire Bible by heart, or b) looked it up.
People just don't want to be told anything that might change there safety blanket that is religion, and if someone spouts off their beliefs they attack them too, despite being ignorant to their religion, they'll just assume their wrong.

Maybe it is rude. It depends on the intent of the answerer. If they really hold that opinion, and are answering without arrogance, then it may be insensitive, but not rude. If they answer with arrogance, it is rude.
Of course, it is almost impossible to judge with what motive a person answers any questions (they were not invited to answer).
At the least, it is point gaming (putting in your 2 cents just for 2 points).
Just ignore them. They are just playing the game.

Yes, that is very rude. Yahoo Answers has not always been that way. It has been taken over by adolescents with too much time on their hands and ignoring their homework assignments.
If there is "no God", then why are they here? Religion and spirituality is of no concern to them because they are meaningless. But no, to prove their little agenda, they need to spout their little stance of indignation to the God they do not believe in.

Can't take the heat stay out of the fire. Maybe you want a christian only Q&A. There are many out there and they will lock out anyone who doesn't measure up to their standards. This is a place to let your light shine, not whine. Jesus came to heal the sick and he did not just talk. He hung with the sinners and slammed the RELIGIOUS hyprocrites. Mature and come back this is real life (sometimes).

i agree with you... however i dont think that it would be rude if the atheist stated his beliefs without bluntly saying that there is no god. As long as the atheist respected your religion, you shoudl respect his beliefs also... no? i dont know... that is just my thoughts.... i do know that there are a lot of dumb people on here... and for that i am sorry. OK well i hope i helped... or at least got my point across :D

that's the problem with asking questions in an OPEN forum like this- you just have to accept the bad answers along with the good.

Yes, it's rude. I've asked questions about Norse mythology and Gods (Even light hearted ones) on here and I always get Fundies having to throw there two cents in about how their deity is the only one and I'm going to burn in hell.
